2 What works: Simple Seems like best you can do for the 437 Simple feeder bus circuits, good coverage We support this economy and use - appropriate measures taken Looks good. Smart, tight routes Shorter route with basic service keeps the older 122/22 route Direct/Straightforward 4 works if it is a one bus figure 8 route Shuttle bus better accommodates need and facilitates both sides of Crowchild. Still provides service Quick to the LRT from North & South of Crowchild Shuttle/scale, seems very appropriate Assurance 2 Shuttles N/a Improved frequency and directness of trip. Good frequency Only worried about route 145. This route is not a replacement as it won't get me downtown and isn't near Capri ave. Keeps seniors connected to transit in areas of low ridership--that's good of you. won't take this bus at all Way to get to Dalhousie Station. Good for peak times Nothing. It connects to itself and nothing else. Ir provides some service to areas within easy walking distance of Dalhousie Station. Not sure I don't use this route. It would be helpful in this survey to have what is being cut and what is proposed staying to help judge. Splitting it up into two routes is a fantastic idea instead of the combined 422 routes! I would have occasional use for these routes. Serves Varsity and Dalhousie well and makes the area have access to Dalhousie Station to get on to the train Improves peak and mid-day frequencies Maintains coverage to areas of low density and/or low ridership areas in Dalhousie and Varsity Estates Not sure - wouldn't use this nc dont use this route I might take this route from Dalhousie in order to walk to the Co-op or Canadian Tire stores. quicker service to the LRT Makes sense. The fact that i can finally take the 22 (422) from Dalhousie station back to my house in Dalhousie! I don't know - I do not use this route. why are you asking me about this route when I never take it? Would not use this route doesn't bother me This plan makes a lot of sense..i like it. Not using this route. I use 8 only in those proposed routes. We use the #10, #9, #419, and #405. I like that the 422 runs along Dalhart Road past some schools and to Dalhousie Station. Nothing short routs - comfortable to the local residents. I do not take this bus. I do not use this bus. I don't travel up this wau. My children use the bus (122) daily to go from Varsity Estates to the c-train station, to connect to the LRT. The new proposed route will still meet this need. Maintains coverage in north part of Dalhousie & Varsity Estates. I live in Parkhill. Does not apply to me. Nothing. Nothing! I am not familiar with Route 422 and 437 and therefore cannot comment. Inclusion of Varsity Estates it looks like it replaces Route 122/22 to move residents of those two areas to LRT station I do not take this route - do not use this route don't use this route 3/8

Does not apply to me No comment no comments What doesn t work and why: It seems like it is too specialised for Dalhousie station and nothing else difficulty with # confusion Seniors last pickup before station - concern with room on bus especially at peak times is it worth connecting the 437 to the 422 and only having one bus go into the Dalhousie station? why not one route? why should seniors get a specific route in this section of the city? It's a city-wide issue, not just here. 2 routes? Could be a figure 8. One route to minimize people/seniors having to transfer. 2 routes should be 1 so its obvious you can connect to other neighbourhood. No route to Northland Mall from Dalhousie Station (there is connection from Brentwood Station) Access to Northland Mall and Churchill School, YMCA Seems community overkill Misses major commercial area If there are seniors using this route, I would recommend one continuous flow. Making seniors change routes isn't ideal If living at Cathedral Manor the senior will have to transfer buses to get to Market Mall. This could be difficult for people with mobility issues. low ridership Varsity Estate Drive Ridership seems weak People who live in Cathedral Manor often uses the 122 to get to Market Mall. Also on Sunday morning several use the 122 to get to churches on Varsity Dr (10 am) & the Catholic Church (11 am I think) on Northland Drive. Must link Catherdral Estates to Market Mall especially on Westbound 4/8

This route is not a replacement as it won't get me downtown and isn't near Capri ave. n/a Schedule and reducing the number of buses in our area from three full-sized buses with 1/4 hour and 1/2 hour schedules to one full-sized bus with the same schedule and one shuttle bus with a longer and irregular schedule. Infrequent service during peak times Why is the route so small and garbage-y? It is pretty limited in scope. The "service" is very poor. Why does it only cover a short distance. Wouldnt it be better to try and make timing for different areas more even? Like if you are pushing farther out routes, have them not have stops closers to the station to reduce time being on the bus. How to get to Market Mall? Not sure nc dont use this route No other purpose for me. Doesnt go anywhere but dalhousie, atleast to market mall would be nice It's a good idea Not in our area. 6 I live on Calandar Rd NW and this does not come close enough to where I live to be effective. only for the locals. Necessity to change bus at Dalhousie station. I don't travel up this way My children also use the current bus (22) to go to Marketmall from Varsity Estates. It is not helpful that service to Marketmall from the Varsity Estates area will be deleted with the new proposed route. In addition, my children will soon be attending University. It would be more efficient if they could ride the bus from Varsity Estates directly to UofC, instead of having to ride the bus to Dalhousie station and then transfer to the train. Low level of service provided on both routes in peak periods. Ultimately both routes will likely be poor performers in terms of ridership. I live in Parkhill. Does not apply to me. Benefits only one community - Dalhousie. Other neighborhoods don't get any service and we have two routes servicing a community that is fairly close to LRT. The useless routes are so short that I wouldn't be surprised If the drivers get dizzy from going around in circles! Is this another Druh Farrell Plan?? I swear that woman needs to be placed in the looney bin!! I am not familiar with Route 422 and 437 and therefore cannot comment. Off peak infrequency - frequency is too little, and is way too long. I do not take this route If not for the seniors, this would not exist right? Does it need to go around the golf course? I would never use this route/plan. This bus route does not effect my everyday commute As a student it was nice to be able to travel from the Dalhousie community straight to the U of C by bus and not having to make a transfer. That is no longer possible with any of the proposed routes. I am not personally that interested in bus routes that JUST go to the station. If I take the bus it's because I'm going somewhere (shopping, the Greyhound station, etc.). route too short to be of use. Why significantly alter Beltline service but keep a route that is so specific? Could there not be an express serions' bus from Cathedral Manor to Dalhousie (once per hour, etc) Extend loop on 422 to Northland Mall from Dalhousie Station Include access to Northland Mall and Churchill School, YMCA 6/8

7 Needs to connect to the commercial area reconsider laser Build on accessible shelter for seniors to wait in for bus transfers Maybe it can hang a right turn on Dalton Drive, go by Cdn Tire and Co-op Shuttle bus only Peak 20 Off Peak 30 I propose a slight change to the proposed 437. Go around the golf course if you need to (the ridership through Varsity Estates is almost zero). And make a jog along Varsity Dr. to Shaganappi, around Market Mall. Stop at Stop "C" and then continue up to the condoes and then Dalhousie Station. N/a Make them go to a mall Only worried about route 145. 8 Keep route 145 don't do those routes I would suggest maintaining service from Varsity Estates to Marketmall, and also Varsity Village area, which would be adjacent to UofC and Alberta Children's Hospital. It would be helpful to have one bus connect the most remote part of the Varsity neighbourhood (Varsity Estates) to the major centres that people travel to for school and work/shopping (UofC, Alberta Children's Hospital and Marketmall). I'm sure people with mobility issues, seniors, etc. in Varsity Estates would also benefit from having direct access via bus to the mall for shopping. No suggestions. I live in Parkhill. Does not apply to me. Extend service to newer communities along Sarcee or Shaganappi - Sage Hill, Nolan Hill, Nothing!! I am not familiar with Route 422 and 437 and therefore cannot comment. I do not take this route 437 could go directly to the seniors' home directly instead of looping around the golf course. I would never use this route/plan. Extend the routes to the university. I like that it's there because service to these residential areas is important, but I'd never use it. I take buses TO places. Rather than having all these routes, take the 10 out of Dalhouse and put it here. Longer running times shorten wait times.
