3 PHASING NOTES 1) THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WORK ON THE AIRPORT AND INTERRUPTIONS OF AIRPORT OPERATIONS WITH THE ENGINEER. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN APPROVAL FROM OWNER/ENGINEER A MINIMUM OF 48 HOURS PRIOR TO ANY WORK WITHIN RESTRICTED AREAS. 2) THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PLACE LOW PROFILE BARRICADES ACROSS THE ENDS OF TAXIWAY A TO PREVENT AIRCRAFT FROM ENTERING THE WORK ZONE AS SHOWN IN THE PLANS. IT IS THE CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITY TO PROVIDE AND TO MAINTAIN THE BARRICADES AND THE RED LIGHTS FOR THE DURATION OF THE PROJECT. ANY DAMAGE TO THE BARRICADES OR LIGHTS SHALL BE REPAIRED AT THE CONTRACTORS EXPENSE. AT THE END OF THE PROJECT, ALL BARRICADES WILL BE RETURNED TO THE COUNTY IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION. 3) IF TEMPORARY RUNWAY DISPLACEMENTS ARE NECESSARY, THEY SHALL BE ASSEMBLED AS SHOWN IN THE PLANS. IT IS THE CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITY TO MAINTAIN THESE DISPLACEMENTS FOR THE DURATION OF THE PROJECT. THIS INCLUDES PROVIDING SET UP, DAILY INSPECTION, AND TEAR DOWN AS NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN FUNCTIONALITY. 4) THE CONTRACTOR SHALL MAINTAIN ALL EXISTING DRAINAGE & ELECTRICAL FACILITIES WITHIN THE CONSTRUCTION AREA UNTIL THE PROJECT IS COMPLETE. 5) WORK WITHIN THE RUNWAY OBSTACLE FREE ZONE (ROFZ) AND THE RUNWAY OBJECT FREE AREA (ROFA) SHALL BE PERFORMED WITH THE SUPERINTENDENT MONITORING THE UNICOM FREQUENCY OF FOR AIRCRAFT ACTIVITY. IF NECESSARY, ALL MEN AND EQUIPMENT SHALL VACATE THE ROFA UNTIL THE AIRCRAFT OPERATION HAS BEEN COMPLETED. 6) ALL EQUIPMENT SHALL BE RETURNED TO THE STAGING AREA AT THE END OF THE WORK DAY. NO EQUIPMENT OR STOCKPILES SHALL REMAIN IN THE ROFA OVERNIGHT. 7) SEQUENCE OF CONSTRUCTION EVENTS SUBJECT TO CHANGE: MOBILIZATION, SAWCUTS, CRACK SEAL, FOG SEAL, STRIPE, OPEN FOR USE, DEMOBILIZATION.
