14 Electrical devices & food NO devices are to be brought on camp!!! Beacon Explorers staff carry: 1 x Sat phone 1 x Telstra mobile 1 x Ipad with CareMonkey Please note the importance of keeping day one lunch and snacks Nut Free. All other meals will be supplied.
15 Day 5: Pack up camp Please bring $10 for lunch on the way home Anticipate for all programs to back at the College by normal end of school

18 Clothing and Equipment Students are heading to beautiful parts of Victoria They will be camping during winter, or early spring Having the appropriate equipment is essential. Cotton clothing* will not provide warmth when wet, and is inappropriate for Outdoor Education Camps.
19 Buying Clothing & Equipment Make sure you are getting the most appropriate equipment for camp. You may be able to borrow from family or friends. Sleeping Bags Must have a hood -5 degrees as minimum Must pack down small
20 Buying Clothing & Equipment Thermals 2 sets polypropylene or wool thermals. You can get them from Outdoor stores and the College shop. DO NOT get them from Kmart or Big W (these ones are commonly made from cotton) Broad Brimmed Hat Protection for the back of your neck and ears
21 Buying Clothing and Equipment Water Bottles carrying capacity of 2 litres 1.25lt plastic soft drink bottles are OK (minus the softdrink) Fleece or Wool Jumpers x3: Keep warm even when wet, are lightweight. DO NOT BRING COTTON HOODIES.
22 Clothing and Equipment Appropriate equipment and packing lists will be made available via Beacon Explorers page on Beacon net. We also have a packing & camp information session at school, for students in their specific activity groups. Confirmed dates and times to follow in upcoming bulletins
