Itinerary Wednesday 17 th February Arrive in Kiruna airport - see flight details below. (Airport pick up is arranged) Thursday 18 th February Friday 19 th February Saturday 20th February Sunday 21 st February Set out on trip after lunch, briefing and kitting up Arrive at the IceHotel for the night First Departure from Kiruna airport - see flight details below (for those not staying on). IceHotel activities Final Departure Flights All flights to Kiruna come and go via Stockholm and then onto your destination of choice. If there is a high pressure system, then there will be sunny days, maybe colder at night (- 20c) but probably not much colder than - 10c to - 15c during daytime. If there is low pressure system then there could be very strong winds and it will be cold. Prepare for the worst Things to bring You will be carrying your belongings on your sled, as well as some food for the dogs. You will need one set of clothes for the day and it is a good idea to have another set of clothes to change into in the evening. The cabins we stay in are warm and comfortable with saunas to wash in and use in the evenings. Any clothes you want to travel to the Arctic in or wear at the IceHotel but not use on the trip, can be put in another bag to await your arrival back in in Kiruna. The food provided on the trip is good and plentiful. Try not to bring too much as it will weigh down the sleds and make you go slower. Kit You will be issued with a number of items when you get to Kiruna. You can decide whether you want to use it, take it in the sled or use your own kit. Once we set off on the sleds we are totally self- sufficient and unaided until we return to Kiruna. We are offering a range of Peak Dynamics clothing which you can purchase for the trip. Please see dynamics.net/arctic- clothing Kit that will be issued to you The following will be issued to you at Kiruna will include:! Fjallraven Down Parka Jacket! Fjallraven Polar Bib Trousers (which are padded and very well insulated)! Snowboots with pull out wool liners! Sleeping bag! Towel! Mittens! Fur hat! Waterbottle! 40 litre Waterproof Drybag for your kit/clothing Kit that you need to bring! Wool socks (at least 2 pairs)! Inner liner socks

3 ! Underwear! Fleece shirt (see Peak Dynamics Arctic clothing)! Thermal liner or Fleece (see Peak Dynamics Arctic clothing range Chinook Microfleece ¼ zip, Phoenix Fleece Pullover, Tundra Stretch Fleece, Thermal or Altitude jackets and/or bodywarmer)! Baselayers merino wool is best and does not smell! Inner thermal gloves! Scarf or fleece headover something to cover your face if it is windy! Gloves (Waterproof Ski gloves or something similar. I would recommend Hestra Falt Glove)! Gloves for handling the dogs/dog food/dog chains warm and that you don t mind them getting smelly, wet and dirty.! Sunglasses! Goggles! Sun cream (high factor) and wash bag! Bathing Costume for the daily saunas! Water bottle/bladder! A set of clothes and shoes/slippers for the evening indoors Optional Kit to bring This list is optional but it will make your trip more enjoyable! Other clothing (see also Peak Dynamics Arctic clothing range)! Big bag (see Peak Dynamics Waterproof Gear Bag)! Head torch! Earplugs (for any snoring)! Hand warmers - Hotties! Sweets, Chocolate, Nuts and any other treats for the day when you are on the sled! Camera/video camera/gopro! ipod and headphones! Phone and phone charger! Daysack for easy access to gloves, hats, snacks on sledge during the day Wool works best in the Arctic cold, especially merino wool (which does not smell). Fitness Please can you get as fit as you can. You are out on the sled all day, in all the elements, so it will be especially tiring on the legs. There will be parts where some

4 pushing and short bursts of running are required. Try and get as running fit as possible.
