3 Phase One: Preparing for Camp Expectations of Participation By submitting a registration, you have agreed to abide by Ontario Council Camps' Expectations of Participation. Please take a moment to review the details of these expectations prior to attending camp. Our Camping Supervisor reserves the right to terminate registration of any camper in consultation with the management of our organization if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the camper or the camp and/or in conflict with Girl Guides of Canada, Ontario Council's Expectations of Participation. If a participant is sent home due to a breach of the Expectations of Participation, then there is no refund for any part of the camp fee. By registering for camp, you agree to provide a complete and accurate health history and are willing to participate in the full range of camp activities except what has been discussed and mutually agreed upon prior to the first day of camp. Participation and Attendance Our camp staff need to be able to account for all of our participants in the case of emergency. We expect participants to be actively participating in the scheduled programs or to have communicated with camp staff as to your whereabouts. Health and Wellness We strive to ensure everyone remains healthy during their time at camp and encourage people who aren t well to remain at home so they don t infect other participants. This could include: a private discussion with you, so that we understand and learn how to best accommodate any health concerns or restrictions. Participant will be responsible for taking their own medications but we ask that you keep a record (H.3) of what you have taken even if it is an over the counter medication, so that we can assist in providing accurate health and wellness information in the event of an emergency Packing Guidelines Please note that the weather can be quite variable. Please keep the following suggestions in mind when packing: Dressing for activities is best done by layering. This way, should participants temperature change during an activity, a layer can be removed/added. We will be doing tons of activities outside in all types of weather and it can be very cold. Winter weather can be particularly unpredictable; we may experience cold, wet and snowy weather. Please bring clothing that you are willing to get dirty and wet!! Synthetic fabrics are warmer and faster drying than cotton fabrics and are better in active outdoor settings. Label everything! 3
