2 OVERNIGHT STAYS DAY EXCURSIONS WELCOME ABOARD WITH...HUNTS COACHES Welcome to our 2018 day excursion programme which is packed with more trips than ever for your pleasure and enjoyment. We ve even added something a little extra this year, look out for our one night breaks! 2018 marks our 88th anniversary, reassuring you that we have been in the business long enough to know how to give you an enjoyable day out, so relax, you are in safe hands! Take a look through the brochure at your leisure and plan your year with us. Choosing from the extensive list is difficult, we re sure you ll agree there really is something for everyone! So why not indulge yourself and book all of the excursions or overnight breaks that catch your eye. This year we have tried to think of lots of new destinations to visit, some further afield, some close to home, to include as much as possible from entry fees to tickets, tours, lunches and afternoon teas, giving you extra value for money. Therefore when looking through the brochure, don t just look at the price, look at what is included. Booking your excursion couldn t be easier. We have our online booking system so you are able to book at your leisure, just visit and click on the day trips heading, booking a trip or an overnight stay online is only a few clicks away! Our online booking system is fully secure so there is no need to worry. We can also take bookings by telephone on or in person at our travel office at 2-3 West Street, Alford. We accept cash, cheque and debit cards. (Please note credit cards are no longer taken) Furthermore all our agents can book all excursions even those including admission, for your added convenience; however any overnight stays must be booked either online or directly with the travel office. BOOKING CONDITIONS Please read the following conditions carefully before making a booking with us. 1 In order to minimise collection times between Skegness and Chapel St Leonards pickups will be offered from a list of set collection points. The driver may make drop offs at alternative points on the return journey at his discretion. 2 Unless stated in the programme prices do not include the cost of admission to places visited. 3 To qualify for the OAP rate, proof of age must be shown at the time of booking, for example a bus pass. 4 Excursions are subject to cancellations, if there are insufficient bookings to make the excursion viable. 5 We reserve the right to alter the size of the coach according to the number of bookings. 6 No claim will be entertained from any passenger who arrives late at departure points, or at any stopping points during the excursion and subsequently miss the coach. 7 All provisional bookings (made in person or over the phone) must be paid for within seven days of the booking or we reserve the right to resell the seats. 8 Refunds are given on excursions, only if the cancellation is made at least 48 hours prior to the departure time. Cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to the departure time will lose 20% of the excursion price or the cost of the entry ticket, whichever is greater. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice of departure time will incur a 100% cancellation fee. 9 Passengers must produce a valid ticket before boarding the coach. 10 All coaches operate a no smoking policy at all times. 11 A child under 3 years may travel free of charge on the coach if not occupying a seat and they are with an adult aged 16 years or over. All other children (3-15 years) must occupy a seat and pay the child fare. Children under 3 years are not allowed to sit on the front seats or near an exit. Admission fees still apply. 12 For reasons of safety, unaccompanied children under 13 years of age will not be permitted to travel alone. 13 No dogs are allowed on excursions except guide dogs. 14 For safety reasons please use the seat belts provided on the coach. 15 If you have any special access or dietary requirements please inform us at the time of booking. ADULT CHILD OAP FRI 23RD STAMFORD MARKET DAY A shorter visit to the popular beautiful stoned Georgian market town, return home at 4.00pm. ADULT CHILD OAP COMBINED TOUR SAT 24TH IDEAL HOME EXHIBITION, OLYMPIA LONDON Visit the UK s biggest home show held at Olympia London for a house that is more than just a home. ADULT CHILD OAP SAT 24TH LONDON SHOPPER Our first visit to the capital, with a drop off at Marble Arch, a chance for some shopping or sight seeing, there is so much to see and do. Return home at 5.30pm. ADULT CHILD OAP THURS 5TH HARRY POTTER A chance to visit the making of Harry Potter, see Diagon Alley, the Enchanted Forest, Hogwarts Express and the Goblet of Fire returns in the great Hall for the next few months, with live demonstrations showing how the pieces of paper are propelled out to reveal the Triwizard Champions. ADULT CHILD OAP SAT 7TH NORWICH SHOPPER At Norwich there s something for everyone, spend at least five hours either shopping in the impressive array of department stores and boutiques or enjoy some sightseeing. The Church yard is full of old grave stones dating back as far as the 1700 s. (Look out for the pirates tomb stones!) Or maybe visit the famous Whitby Abbey situated on the top of the East cliff or relax in comfort and take the open top bus to view all the towns major attractions. Then we travel to our hotel for a lovely evening meal with time to relax. WEDNESDAY Following a hearty breakfast we make our way back to Whitby for a half hour cruise on the HM Bark Endeavour, which is one of only two full scale replicas of the original ship that was actually built in Whitby in the 1700 s. The arrival of this ship coincides with the 250th anniversary of Captain Cook s departure from Portsmouth charting the East coast of Australia and New Zealand. Whilst sailing you will hear about the life of Captain cook and enjoy the amazing views of north Yorkshire s Jurassic coastline, a wealth of fossils, minerals and the famous Whitby jet! (Please note sailings are dependent upon weather and tide conditions.) After your cruise you will have further free time to enjoy all Whitby has to offer, maybe a chance to visit the array of beautiful independent shops for a memento of your time in Whitby before making our return journey home. Requests for specific seat numbers can be made but as bookings are made on a first come first served basis we recommend you book early to avoid disappointment. You will find seating plans for our various touring coaches, use this to help choose your seats. Coaches will be allocated nearer the time and you will be contacted as soon as possible to confirm changes should your allocated seats be affected. 31 TRAVEL DOCUMENTS Upon receipt of your deposit you will be issued with confirmation of your booking and insurance documents, or, if you have booked online your documents will be ed to you. Please check these documents carefully and inform the office straight away if you think anything needs amending. Once you have paid your balance we will send you your final confirmation and your luggage labels. Certain documents such as entry tickets will be issued by the driver whilst on tour. LUGGAGE We ask on all of our holidays for you to bring one medium sized suitcase (max weight 15kg/33lb) per person and one piece of hand luggage, although with this holiday we are sure there will only be overnight bags for your stay. Please note on overnight stays there is not always porterage available. HOTEL ACCOMMODATION Accommodation featured in this brochure varies from luxurious 4* establishments to homely family run hotels. We make every effort to ensure that all accommodation is of an acceptable standard and you are allocated precisely the kind of room you have requested. HOTEL RATING Our hotel ratings are based on a variety of information from tourist board grading, annual appraisals and feedback from customers and drivers. Hotels are rated from 2* for standard good quality accommodation to 4* for those offering more comfort and a wider range of facilities / travel.office@hunts-coaches.co.uk / ROOM TYPE When booking for two people sharing a room you should either request a double bed or twin beds. Single rooms are always in high demand and early booking is recommended. Holidays which offer single rooms without a supplement are limited. Once these rooms have been used and we request additional rooms over our allocation then a supplement may apply on a tour which originally states no single room supplement, you will be advised on this upon booking. Single rooms which do not incur a supplement tend to be a smaller room with a single bed as opposed to a double room used for sole occupancy. Some hotels will charge a supplement for a genuine single room and although we do not agree with this practice, it is beyond our control. MEALS Meals in the hotel may be table served, served from a carvery, offered in buffet style or pre-ordered. Set menus are usually provided for groups. If you have any special requirements regarding diets and allergies please inform a member of our office staff on booking so we can advise the hotel. SEATBELTS In line with legislation seatbelts must be worn at all times when travelling on the coach. Seatbelt extensions are available if required and must be ordered when making your booking.

35 OVERNIGHT STAYS SIGNIFICANT OR UNUSUAL LIMITATIONS OR WHAT IS NOT COVERED 1 The cover under this policy is only available to UK residents for travel to and from the UK and repatriation will be to the UK only. 2 Cover is only available for the whole duration of a booked trip to a maximum 70-consecutive days and cover cannot be purchased once a trip has already begun. 3 The excess amount deductible from a claim applies to each and every claim, per incident claimed for, under certain sections by each insured person. 4 If your money, valuables, any items of baggage, your passport or visa are lost or stolen, you must notify the local police within 24-hours of discovery or as soon as possible thereafter. Please make sure you get a copy of the police report. Failure to comply may result in your claim being rejected or the amount of any relevant claim reduced. 5 You are not covered for valuables, your passport or visa if left unattended at any time (including in a vehicle, in checked in luggage or while in the custody of a carrier, tour operator or public transport operator) unless deposited in a hotel safe, safety deposit box or left in your locked accommodation. 6 Stolen property: You are not covered for baggage stolen from: A an unattended coach/bus unless it was locked in the luggage compartment of the coach/bus and evidence of force or violent entry to the vehicle is available, or B the passenger compartment of any unattended vehicle. If you are travelling outside of the UK you must telephone Mediscreen on if anyone to be covered by this policy, or any person upon whose health the trip depends: 1 Has or has had a medical condition (excluding childhood and minor ailments not requiring treatment). 2 Is taking prescribed medication. 3 Has or has had any medical condition still requiring periodic review. 4 Is awaiting any tests, treatment, investigation, referral or the results of these. 36 YOUR CONTRACT WITH F.HUNT (COACH HIRE) LTD Please read the following information carefully as it forms your contract with us PAYING FOR YOUR HOLIDAY A non refundable deposit of 40 per person unless otherwise stated is required at the time of booking. The balance of your holiday must be paid at least 8 weeks prior to departure and this due date is shown clearly on your invoice. Please check your confirmation documents if you are unsure. Please note no reminders are given. If a balance is not paid in time we reserve the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit to cover our losses. CANCELLING YOUR HOLIDAY Should you feel it s necessary to cancel your holiday you must notify us as soon as possible either in writing or by telephone or in person at our travel office in Alford. You will have to pay cancellation charges as set out below to cover our estimated loss resulting from cancellation. If the reason for your cancellation is covered under the terms of your holiday insurance policy you may be able to reclaim these charges, please note an excess does apply. CANCELLATION OCCURRING CANCELLATION CHARGE AS A % OF THE HOLIDAY COST CHANGES TO YOUR HOLIDAY The arrangements to your holiday have been made months in advance and sometimes changes to your holiday are unavoidable and we reserve the right to make them. Any alterations are likely to be minor but may include alterations to the departure date, the itinerary or the advertised hotel. The price of your holiday is subject to surcharges,which may include those resulting from fuel, loss in currency conversion, government legislation and VAT. In all cases we reserve the right to pass these amounts on in full. In such an instance we would endeavour to inform you as soon as possible and use our discretion with regard to significant changes. IF WE CANCEL YOUR HOLIDAY Clearly we need minimum numbers to operate a tour. In the event that we do not receive sufficient bookings to run a tour we reserve the right to cancel your holiday. All money paid to us will be refunded in full and a suitable alternative will be offered. Compensation will be paid as detailed in the table below. We reserve the right to terminate a clients booking in the event of unreasonable conduct which in our opinion is likely to cause damage, distress, or danger or annoyance to any other clients, employees or third parties. If you are prevented from travelling or continuing your tour by such termination our responsibility to you ceases and we will be under no obligation for any refund, compensation, or loss you may incur. CARRIAGE OF WHEELCHAIR AND SCOOTERS Our policy is to assist with the handling of fold up wheelchairs for those who are disabled as far as possible, but we can only guarantee to carry lightweight foldable wheelchairs. Any passengers wishing to take wheelchairs should advise us for your intention prior to booking and check the suitability of the holiday. Passengers taking wheelchairs must be able to assemble/dismantle their own wheelchair or be travelling with someone who can do this for them. Unfortunately due to health and safety, we are no longer able to accept electric scooters. PICK UP POINTS You are responsible for ensuring that you are at the correct departure point, at the correct time, with the correct documents and cannot be held responsible for any loss or expense suffered by passengers due to their late arrival. excursion not taken. Some excursion itineraries include the use of ferries and other forms of transport which can be affected by inclement weather and other factors beyond our control and in such instance may have to be cancelled or rescheduled. SPECIAL REQUESTS When making your booking please inform us of any requests you may have and we will do our best to ensure they are met. However we must emphasise that we cannot make any guarantees. Please also note that some requests, for example sea views may include a supplement from the hotel. MAKING A COMPLAINT If you have a complaint whilst on tour please inform in the first instance your driver immediately who will do their best to solve the problem. If you are still unhappy then call the travel office on and we will do our best to put things right. If you are still not satisfied on return you must notify us in writing within 14 days of the completion of the tour. Failure to establish a complaint in accordance with the above procedure may affect the outcome of it. Whilst we endeavour to ensure that all the information contained in our holiday brochure is accurate we cannot be held responsible for any omissions or errors included within it. ITINERARIES On occasions it may be necessary to alter the order of excursions due to unforeseen circumstances. We reserve the right to do so and your understanding is appreciated.
