2 ABERDEEN LAKE DISTRICT Day 1 Our Aberdeen branch is conveniently located on Canal Road, just a 10-minute drive from Aberdeen Airport. Time to explore Aberdeen! Make your first stop Aberdeen beach, where you can do a spot of whale watching. Day 2 Head down the A90, which will take you to Loch Lomond. You won t mistake its breathtaking scenery. Make sure to stop off for some traditional Scottish food. We d recommend the Drovers Inn it s been feeding hungry visitors for three centuries! Day 3 Time to head to Glasgow Scotland s biggest city. Check out the Duke of Wellington statue, renowned for the road traffic cone on its head, and the Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum, where you can see the floating heads by Sophie Cave. After some sightseeing, enjoy some food in Glasgow s city centre or the West End. BYRES ROAD WEST END Day 4 Now for the last leg of your journey: the Lake District. After a stop in Carlisle for a well deserved coffee break, you re ready to head down to Britain s most popular tourist destination for a fun-filled afternoon. The Lake District is packed with attractions and exciting activities. You can even catch your own fish for dinner! You can then return the car to either our Aberdeen branch or whichever branch is nearest to you (in this case, Carlisle). Happy adventures!

3 Carlisle peak district Day 1 Carlisle to North York Moors National Park Pick up your car from our branch on Wakefield Rd and then head to John Watt & Son Coffee House for a tasty breakfast and one of the best coffees you ll ever have! North York Moors National Park Time to explore North York Moors National Park. A beautiful place to go for a walk as there is always so much going on! Day 2 Exploring the National Park We really like their farmers market shows where you can sample local food and drink, speak to the farmers and visit the craft markets. In the afternoon, you absolutely have to visit some of the iconic views in the park there is so much to see in this delightful place. Day 3 North York Moors Park to the Lake District You can spend the day enjoying some of the many attractions available including water sports, bird watching or just have a nice walk around. Cycling is also available, which is extremely enjoyable especially on a warm, sunny day! Be sure to check out the Casa Bella ice cream place in Keswick and also the local markets! Random fact: here you can find the first pencil museum in the world! Day 4 carlisle After a nice breakfast, you can enjoy the park some more after all, Carlisle is only half an hour away so no need to rush! If you have some time left over to explore Carlisle, be sure to check out our favourite attractions. To head back to Carlisle, you just need to either get on the A595 or the M6, it takes roughly the same time.

4 Inverness Edinburgh Day 1 Inverness Fraserburgh Aberdeen Your journey starts at 46 Harbour Road, Inverness, where you can pick up your hire car. Have a drive around the town before you head off as there s plenty to see. Make sure you check out Inverness Castle and loch and river ness. Day 2 Aberdeen Dundee St Andrews When in Dundee, make a quick detour across the Tay to visit Broughty Castle. In the afternoon, you can head to St Andrews one of Scotland s most famous places, home to Scotland s oldest university. Then, climb up Law Hill The Dundee Law, which has some of the best views in Scotland and offers a 360-degree view of the city. St Andrews is the birthplace of golf. Day 3 St Andrews Edinburgh After a light lunch in one of Crail s coastal cafés, you can head down the A917 and enjoy a breath-taking East Coast drive, past St Monans Windmill, the St Monans coastline, Anstruther and Pittenweem. In about an hour and a half, you ll reach Glenrothes, where you can make a quick pit stop before heading to Edinburgh. Welcome to the capital! In one of Scotland s top tourist destinations, you re guaranteed a good time. Edinburgh is a magical city. Day 4 Driving back You can have a little lie in, before heading back to Inverness to return your car this time drive back cross-country through Perth (Queensferry and then jump on the M90) and then onto the A9 straight back to Inverness. The drive should take a little more than three and a half hours. Alternatively, you could drop the car off at one of our Edinburgh branches on Seafield Street or on Bankhead Drive as long as you arrange this in advance.

5 Newcastle Norwich Day 1 Newcastle Sunderland In Newcastle, you can find us on Portobello Way and our branch is roughly 40 minutes away from Sunderland (via the A1231). The Souter Lighthouse is also a must-visit. Go for a coffee or a stroll in the little park behind it. Day 2 Sunderland-Whitby-North York Moors National Park- Withernsea This seaside town is nothing short of a hidden gem especially on a sunny day. The harbour often teems with boats and fishermen, which lends an authentic feel to the experience. In the afternoon, you can drive to the nearby North York Moors National Park. Starting off in High Hawsker, through Ravenscar and down to Staintondale, you can expect a scenic drive. Day 3 Withernsea-Skegness-Norwich This resort is proud to be holding the European Blue Flag beach award for exceptionally clean waters and golden beaches. If you just walk to the south of this little town, you will find yourself at the Spurn Peninsula and The Spurn National Nature Reserve, great for bird watching and just general nature-lovers. Day 4 Driving back In the morning, you can visit the Norwich Market (the UK s largest open-air market), which has been in its original market location for over 900 years now. Norwich is a popular tourist destination and has exciting events all year round, such as the Norfolk & Norwich Festival, the Shakespeare Festival and the Heritage Open Days. We strongly recommend visiting the Castle and the Cathedral and their respective museums. Don t forget that you can drop the rented car off in another branch as long as you arrange this in advance.

6 PERTH FORT WILLIAM Day 1 Perth Aberfeldy As soon as you pick up your car from Arnold Clark s Perth branch on St Leonard s Bank, you can explore the city. On fine days, we recommend you explore the grounds of Scone Palace! Make for nearby Birnam and visit the Birnam oak, which is older than 500 years old. Day 2 Aberfeldy Killin Glencoe Don t miss visiting The Scottish Crannog Centre for an epic experience of the Iron Age. There you can explore interesting exhibitions and enjoy a variety of activities, which will help you see what life really was like a few thousand years ago, including paddling in an old dugout canoe! Our advice is to explore the town and definitely watch a movie in the 100-seat Birks Cinema Patronised by none other than actor Alan Cumming himself. Day 3 Glencoe Fort William There are also other activities such as climbing, fishing, golfing and mountain biking so there s something for everyone! Glencoe is one of Scotland s most popular destinations, in part because it always feels like the first time you ve visited, even if you ve been there before. It s a famous mountaineering and hillwalking destination, so if you re an outdoorsy person this is the place for you. Day 4 Driving back To get back to Perth, you should plan for a scenic three-hour drive up to Laggan (via the A86) and then down the A9 to Perth enjoy! Alternatively, you can drop the car off at our Inverness branch as long as you let the other branch know in advance.
