Following the withdrawal of Praze from Division 2 (29/12/17) St Ives 2, Stithians 2, Redruth 3, Veryan, Lanhydrock 2, Milton Abbot and additionally Pencarrow are promoted to Division 4 on a geographical basis. The LMC have taken on board comments both through and at the end of the season and as a result the trial format of five x division 5 has been abandoned due to the disparity of player strength within each division. We d rather travel farther for a competitive game was a common theme voiced. Therefore it has been decided to form a Division 5 East and Division 5 West of a full complement of 12 teams compiled based on Rule average points gained per match actually started. That left 28 Teams to accommodate. A Division 6 East and West has been formed of 10 teams playing 18 games from Sat 5 May to Sat 25 August inclusive. The respective winners will contest the Division 6 County Final. The remaining 8 teams make up a Division 7 West. Having balloted those clubs a compromise of 18 games, from Sat 5 May to Sat 25 August inclusive, will be played. To dovetail with the interlinking 12 team divisions matrix the 4 random third games will be played on match days 5, 9, 14 and 18 2 home and 2 away. Some games are unavoidably played against the same opponent in close proximity therefore. The 2018 Promotion & Relegation criteria for the lower divisions will be announced after the League AGM, and before the start of the season. The outcome of the AGM proposal to have 10 Team Divisions in Tier 3 (Division 4 & below) for the 2019 season will then be known. Change of Club Name St Stephens CC have renamed as Saltash St Stephens CC
