Welcome to Edinburgh and the Lothians, here the buzz of Scotland's capital city sits in perfect contrast to the peaceful tranquillity of the surrounding Lothians region. Edinburgh has one of the most beautiful cityscapes in the world, making it the ideal city break destination. With Scotland's most famous castle dominating the city skyline, there is plenty to see and do with the perfect balance between all things traditional and contemporary The City of Edinburgh WHAT IS THE PROJECT IN EDINBURGH? Participants concentrate on creating a travel guide for Edinburgh and the surrounding area. They will explore the wide range of museums, exhibitions, the history of the city, the lively bars, cafes, nightlife and culture of this wonderful capital city..

WORKSHOPS Workshops are conducted by professional journalists at our offices in Edinburgh. This is the chance to brainstorm ideas in order to create the Edinburgh travel guide.

3 WORKSHOPS Workshops are conducted by professional journalists at our offices in Edinburgh. This is the chance to brainstorm ideas in order to create the Edinburgh travel guide. Workshops are in place as a guide to point participants to the right direction in order to create an appealing guide which includes cutting edge photos, reviews, an attractive layout, itineraries, the history, art, fashion, culture and the best bits of Edinburgh for visiting young people. Copies of the programme are distributed to tourist places of interest, including backpacking hostels, bed and breakfasts, the airport and local tourist offices. For those interested, the opportunity to c reate short podc asts/ radio podcasts & promotional film will also be available which are uploaded on to a website. Some projects incorporate presenting your findings to the Edinburgh tourist board. The aim of the programme is to do something productive and worthwhile with your gap experience, exploring a new city whilst gaining experience which is both fun and valuable.

4 HOW TO APPLY? Generally with all of our projects, places are limited and tend to fill up fairly quickly. As there is a great deal of team work involved in the projects, we do our best to put people together who we feel will work well within a particular team and who have skills and abilities that will complement the others. Workshops with professional journalists/media experienced staff Programme timetable, professional staff, company visits, activities and excursions accompanied by members of our team If accepted on to the programme, the cost for the programme (3-4 weeks) is 899 EUR exactly. Accommodation for the one day (Sat) before the programme begins is free of charge. Use of project rooms for meetings, workshops (incl. WLAN) Copy of completed work plus online distribution. Organised team working tasks and any technical equipment required.
