3 Introduction This document, as the name suggests, is a guide. Due to the fact that it is written some months before the event, details and timings published here may change a little, but will not affect the overall format. The aim of the guide is to provide you with relevant local information to help make your event an enjoyable one whether you are a competitor, marshal or spectator. Rally Guide 2, which will be published in due course will cover information regarding the competitor recce, shakedown, service park plans, HQ & scrutineering information and other relevant map data. Official documents such as regulations, entry forms, media applications and the like will be made available through our website ( We look forward to seeing you in Dumfries in May. 10 Trailer and Service Parks The trailer and service parks will be located at Lockerbie Lorry Park. Rally HQ will also be at this location. The service park is located on the B7076, near Johnstonebridge and will be open from morning of Friday 19 May. Postcode for the location is DG11 2SL. GPS co-ordinates are N W Northbound: Leave the M74 at Junction 17 (Lockerbie), turn right, then first left onto the B7076, which runs parallel to the motorway. After 5 miles, the truckstop is on your right. Southbound: Leave the M74 at Junction 16 (Johnstonebridge), turn right, under the motorway, then left onto the B7076. After two miles, the Lorry Park is on the left. There are toilets showers and catering facilities on site. A numbered service bay will be allocated for each competitor. If you wish to service next to other competitors, you should make the request on your entry forms. Service park is tarmac. Only vehicles bearing official plates securely affixed to the front of the vehicle will be allowed entry into the service park. Separate car parking is provided for auxiliary vehicles. Import of vehicles and parts The importing of vehicles is restricted by UK Government rules and will be affected by whether the vehicle is being imported to the UK from within or outwith the EU, who will be using the vehicle and how long the vehicle will be in the UK. For full information on this topic, please see Fuel/ Tyres Specialist refuelling will be close to the service park. No refuelling is permitted within the service area by any competitor. Tyre manufacturers and distributors will be located in, or close to, the service park. Helicopters No arrangements have been made for Helicopters by the organisers. If you do not have Level Two MSA Media Accreditation you can still apply for event accreditation, however this will not grant you the same level of access. Please contact our event press officers for more information. Any media questions relating specifically to the event should be directed to the press officers for the event. The organisers will only issue media passes to working journalists, officially accredited photographers and recognised persons from the broadcast media as detailed in the MSA Regulations at Under no circumstances will advertising, public relations agencies or similar companies and organisations be accredited as media, nor will passes be issued to representatives (press officers or others) of sponsors, suppliers, teams, drivers, etc. A full set of media accreditation guidelines and relevant application forms is available at Media Accreditation Desk All media representatives whose application for accreditation is accepted will be required to sign on at the media accreditation desk which will be located at Rally HQ Media Office.
