John Macleod will make a brief statement in support of his petition. PE748 Retain the Livestock Improvement Scheme. Netta MacKenzie will make a brief statement in support of her petition, accompanied by William Morrison, North Country Cheviot Sheep Society. PE752 Enact legislation to define pornographic material as incitement to sexual hatred. PE755 Review guidance to local authorities on planning proposals to ensure adequate consultation. PE756 Review the provision of maternity services for Scotland s island and rural communities. PE757 Inquiry into the management and structure of Scottish Football. 2. Current Petitions: The Committee will further consider the following current petitions PE486 Projects to help sex offenders avoid re-offending. The Committee will consider a response from the Scottish Executive.

PE699 Review sportscotland policy. The Committee will consider responses from sportscotland and the petitioners. PE709 Inquiry into the health aspects of Gulf War Syndrome. The Committee will consider possible forms of action. 3. Proposed Petitions: The Committee will consider the admissibility of the following proposed petitions Proposed petition by Mr James Duff calling for an inquiry into compliance with statutory requirements regarding sequestration and heritable property vested in trustees. Proposed petition by Mr Stuart Usher, Co-ordinator, Scotland Against Crooked Lawyers, calling for the disbandment of the Justice 1 Committee and the creation of a new committee. PE752 Petition by Catherine Harper on behalf of Scottish Women Against Pornography, calling for the Scottish Parliament to enact legislation to define pornographic material as incitement to sexual hatred and to make such incitement an offence similar to that of incitement to racial hatred. PE755 Petition by Roger Knox, on behalf of Ravensheugh Tenants and Residents Association, calling on the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Executive to review its guidance to local authorities to ensure that adequate public consultation is carried out in relation to planning proposals such as the development of Musselburgh Ash Lagoons. PE756 Petition by Dr Frederica Warnock, calling for the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Executive to review the provision of maternity services for Scotland s island and rural communities to ensure that the quality of services and current staffing levels are retained. PE757 Petition by Graeme Pirie, on behalf of Fans for Football, calling on the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Executive as a matter of urgency to launch an inquiry into the management and structure of Scottish Football with the aim of restoring Scotland s standing as a leading footballing nation.
