But that s not to say you can t teach an old(er!) dog new tricks brings with it new entertainment, new experiences, and new holiday themes to give us all new stories to tell. In the last two years we have quadrupled our hardship funding, allowing Leanne and her team of friendly holiday advisors to offer a helping hand to those who need it. Last year this amounted to 620,000 because we are absolutely determined that tight finances shouldn t prevent anyone from taking a break. I was a bit apprehensive about going to Jubilee Lodge but my worries were dispelled the moment I entered the building. The staff, all of the carers and volunteers gave 110%. Patience is a virtue certainly applied to them. Normally I get very homesick when on holiday but it was a wrench leaving Jubilee Lodge after such a fantastic week. Anne My husband is severely disabled so the facilities and care provided by Revitalise are perfect for him and the fact that I can stay with him is an added bonus. I do not believe that any other organisation offers the same high level of care and attention as Revitalise. A huge benefit of the respite breaks is the involvement of volunteers - many of whom are overseas students who not only help in the holiday centre but escort guests in wheelchairs when going out on trips. We enjoyed our break so much that we have already booked two return visits! Sheila

7 2019 BREAKS It s like spending a week with a room full of best friends. All the staff, carers and cared for help to make the week so enjoyable. The break I get from my caring role is so very much needed. I m counting down to my next visit. The staff were so kind and caring and the joy of being able to go out and about was wonderful. The choice of food was great and being able to have a drink when needed - and visit the bar! Thanks so much. Through Revitalise I have flown in a plane, been indoor skydiving, and seen performances at the Regents Park outdoor theatre. I have also been to the Shard, which was incredible! Our Care Support Packages Our five Care Support Packages are designed with our guests at the forefront - the support you need at the right price. Companion If you are a carer or companion, you do not need to pay for a Care Support Package. Guests accompanying a disabled guest will have the support of our team, so they can have a break too. I felt happy and safe and so grateful to everyone at Revitalise for taking me through it gently and with fun. Nat We passionately believe that everybody needs a break. But we know there can be many barriers to accessing respite holidays, such as sudden changes in your personal circumstances or cuts in funding. We are determined that nobody should miss out on the opportunity to take a much-needed break with Revitalise for financial reasons, and we want you to know there are plenty of options available, including: External sources of funding e.g. other charities Local authority funding Our own funds Revitalise Support Fund and Joan Brander Memorial Fund. Alternatively, we may recommend other funding options to you. Based on latest full year statistics from 2017 Your questions, answered Pay in instalments and spread the cost. All we need at the time of booking is a deposit of 180. The full balance is due six weeks before your holiday. If you can t afford the break, don t be put off. You might be able to use various sources of funding to cover part or the full cost of your Revitalise holiday. MS Society and Revitalise match funding scheme Revitalise and the MS Society work in partnership to provide funding to those affected by MS to access a respite holiday.
