4 Emergency Information Emergency Plan Off-site Monitoring/Decontamination Centers are located in: Site Administrative Building (SAB) Conference Room 5, on the 2nd floor of the SAB In the case of an emergency, page announcements will direct personnel response. 6 Site Policies and Standards Badges Badge must be worn on an approved lanyard and with a TLD on the outside of your outer garment so that it is visible at all times. DO NOT remove your badge while inside the Protected Area. Footwear Personal footwear and Safety footwear requirements can be found in the Personal Protective Equipment procedure (FP-IH-PPE-01). Note: All shoes must be made of sturdy materials and shall not have open toes, sides or backs. Shoe heels shall not exceed 3 inches in height and must have substantial heel-to-floor contact and slip-resistant soles. Safety The Nuclear Pocket Plant Safety Guide (NPPSG) contains frequently used safety requirements and practices. If you do not have one, please ask your site contact for a copy and refer to it often. Smoking Smoking (including E-cigarettes) is allowed in designated areas only and not permitted while transitioning to a designated smoking area. Discard cigarette butts in the appropriate receptacle. The name is derived from the Dakota Indian word meaning water that reflects the sky or the land of sky blue waters. The largest lake is Red Lake which is 451 square miles. The largest cities are Minneapolis, Saint Paul, Duluth, and Rochester. The name Monticello was chosen because the city is situated at the base of a little mountain. Monticello is located on the Mississippi River at the northern edge of Wright County. Each winter, hundreds of trumpeter swans nest near Mississippi Drive Park in Monticello as the Mississippi River is heated from warm water discharged by the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant.
