1 New York City Dash to the Finish Line 5K and Marathon 2016 Saturday, November 5 to Sunday, November 6, 2016 Notice Regarding Changes to Normal Operations in Your Area Please be aware that the Abbott Dash to the Finish Line 5K will occur on Saturday, November 5, 2016 and the TCS NYC Marathon event will occur on Sunday, November 6, The Dash to the Finish Line 5K will have nearly 10,000 attendees. On the day of the Marathon, there will be nearly 50,000 participants and close to 1 million spectators across the city. The City of New York is dedicated to providing as much information as possible to ensure that residents and business owners of affected areas are informed about interruptions in normal operations. The purpose of this communication is to inform you of the details of this event and any changes to normal operations in the area. Closures and Traffic Restrictions The Dash to the Finish Line 5K is concentrated in Midtown Manhattan and Central Park. The NYC Marathon will span all five boroughs and will have a large effect on traffic in some of the following areas: Central Park, Verrazano Bridge, Pulaski Bridge, Queensboro Bridge, Willis Bridge, Madison Bridge, Belt Parkway, and FDR Drive.
