The park will be on your right. The baseball field is 1/8 of a mile from the first traffic light; the cross country course is 1/4 of a mile further along Broadway. Roosevelt Island Local Roosevelt Island Bus: The bus stop is located adjacent to the tramway. The one-way fare is 10 cents. The bus does not accept dollar bills, nor does it dispense change. The bus makes local stops along Main Street, and the final destination is Octagon Park (soccer field). When facing Manhattan, the Pony Field (softball field) is located to the right of Octagon Park. From Manhattan: Take the upper deck of the 59th Street Bridge to the 21st Street exit. Make a right turn on 21st Street to 36th Avenue. Take a left turn on 36th Avenue to Roosevelt Island via the 36th Avenue Bridge. From the Triborough Bridge: Take the Triborough Bridge to the first exit (Hoyt Avenue).
