31 Crossing Over William P. Palaski William Billy Paul Palaski, 55, of Land O Lakes It's with great sadness that Gasparilla Bowmen share this sad news of the passing of one of their former Board members Bill Palaski on July 23 of a heart attack. Billy was a Superintendent with APG Electrical, a Christian and a United States Marine Corps Veteran serving our nation from 1976 thru During his career in the Corps, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant (E-5) and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the Meritorious Service Medal. He served as a Hawk Fire Control Crewman and attended the Hawk Fire Control Course. He married his love of his life, Karen Gail Parnell. Bill's love of the water and boating was shared by both him and his wife, Gail. He loved to fish and in his spare time he became a licensed Charter Boat Captain and together, they had many wonderful memories aboard the B and G, their boat. They were also avid archers & enjoyed many years with their buddies at the Gasparilla Bowman,. Diane Watson had a serious vehicular accident. Her motorcycle was totaled. She has a badly broken left arm, a broken right wrist, a broken right ankle and some other bones in her right foot, and she ruptured her spleen. As of 4 December she was at home recovering with various immobilized parts. Her parents are here from the West Coast of the USA to help her and her husband Paul is improving with his fight with cancer. We all wish you and your husband a speedy recovery. 31

46 Notes from the president: Hi Everyone, We (FAA Board members) would like to thank you for another great year. Our overall NFAA/NAA membership is at its highest. Our Indoor tournament this past spring was a huge success. The Miami Springs Optimist hosted their First Indoor event and plan to do so again in They did a fine job treating attendees a little extra special. In 2014 the Indoor Championship will be the only event held at multiple locations. This is due in part to management difficulties, and in part to real/ or perceived fairness, differences, equipment and venues. This year Tim Austin and I will back each other up, as in the past, to assure all planned events run smoothly, but we have a secondary goal of updating the computer/software and check lists to ease transition for those that follow.
