But I had fun at work while hobbling around in one of those Frankenslippers the doctor makes you wear. People at work asked, What happened? I simply told them, I was cleaning my bow and it just went off! I couldn t believe some people fell for it and a few have shot bows before! 7 Elections for 2014 will be as follows: January 2014 Nebraska State Secretary Notes State Director- currently held by Ed Christman Treasurer- currently held by Bill Lewis VP Field- currently held by Kevin Byington VP Hunting- currently held by Chad Morgan Member at Large- (Appointed by Board) Robert Gregg Because of the low return rate on ballots, despite me including postage, we will vote on officer positions at the January Indoor shoot. If you are unable to make it, please contact me at my and I will a ballot. The first indoor shoot will also be our State meeting (required by constitution). I will have all the awards for 2013 to hand out. It came to our attention, after the President/Secretary meeting that we had a scheduling conflict for the State Indoor on February 22 nd -23 rd at Robinhood. The date is the same as Midwest Sectionals. Due to the large number of people who have inquired about that issue, it was quickly decided by board members, to allow anyone wanting to shoot sectionals may also pay and include those scores for our State indoor. We will discuss the details at the state meeting, but basically I will HAVE to be NOTIFIED and PAID in advance for your State fees to be included. NO EXCEPTIONS! I will get the scores from NFAA from all the MIDWEST sectionals and include those scores in our results. Please continue to check the State Archery website for any shoot changes and notices. Dave Werne does a great job keeping us up to date. I will post a flier for the January 18 th -19 th shoot as soon as I work out some details. I will also and have Darby it to get you all notified. It will be a STATE FITA/Vegas (450 both days) and is planned to be held at Full Draw. There will be lines times Saturday that will determine your Sunday shoot times. (There may be a change in location) Our State meeting will be the 19 th in between line times. Thanks, Deb Colgrove State Secretary 7
8 VP Hunting Tom Saunders position filled by Chad Morgan Chad Morgan s Bio: I live just north of Beatrice with my wife and 3 boys. I have been shooting bows most of my life but only have been competitive for about 6 years. I work as welder for last 20 years. I am originally from North Platte but went to high school in Malcolm.
