2 Notes from the president: Hi Everyone, another very good year is coming to a close. Overall, attendance was generally up this year, especially the Marked 3-d event held at Ridge. In 2017, only the FAA NAA/NFAA indoor event will be held at multiple sites, during the first 2 weekends of March. Sydney Sullenberger has earned the Female Shooter of the Year award, for the second year in a row, and Shawn Hughes, is the Male Shooter of the year for Shawn was also the 2009 Male Shooter of the year. Congratulations to both. The spring FAA election Ballots are included in this issue. Two very good candidates are being considered for the NAA Representative. Please give careful consideration, as to who you would like, to work with and represent, the youth/joad. Your vote is very important. Florida is blessed to have a site for the USArchery National Indoor and USArchery National JOAD Indoor at the Easton Newberry Center Feb The Rinehart 1000 is back in Florida after a one year absence being hosted by Ft Lauderdale Archers March Ft Lauderdale is also hosting the 2017 IBO Traditional East Coast Championship Feb The IFAA World Field in Australia was neat. I went to a zoo and got to pet a kangaroo and a wallaby and got to get my picture taken with a koala. Driving was interesting since they drive on the wrong side of the road. When driving one needed to be a Buffalo Bills or Florida State fan and keep thinking tight left and wide right when turning Shooting was nice though the last two days were rained out. The elephants were nice in Thailand and I really enjoyed New Zealand where I got to visit Hobbiton. I can bore you with pictures, just let me know. See you on the range. Oliver.

Dale East (NW V/P), Kevin Bergenroth (N V/P). 2. Minutes of previous meeting unanimously approved. 3. Treasurer s report unanimously approved. 4. Indoor Tournament management: Mims = Ron Lucas. Tampa Bay = Scott Barrett. Miami Springs = Bob Jones and Tim Austin. Newberry = Jones and Tim Austin. All pre-registration through the FAA Secretary. B 5. Scholarship: Not for publication. 6. Late Fee Charge: On site registration fee will b charged to all registrations received after 11:59 PM on the Thursday prior to the shooting day to include website, walk-ins, phone calls, and mail in. 27 PASSING ON Steve Steinbring February 1947 to November Steve has been a member of the Florida Archery Association and the National Field Archery Association for 22 years. He will be greatly missed. He lost a battle with a blood clot 2 weeks ago in November 2016 at the age of 69. Steve was an active shooter and shared his love of shooting with his son Eric. Steve last shot in a State Championship in 2007 at Central Florida Archers 2007 FAA Marked 3- D Championship where he shot Bowhunter Freestyle and Eric shot Traditional. His most recent shooting was a hunting trip out of State where he shot two deer. A member of Everglades Archers in Homestead, Florida Steve actively supported our sport IBO Traditional East Coast Championship Will be held at Fort Lauderdale Archers February Championship Round 40 targets Friday and Saturday. Top 10 shooters from each class will shoot 20 targets Sunday morning for 1 st, 2 nd, and 3 rd place in each class. Hunter Challenge 20 targets, $1, in awards. Saturday afternoon top 10 women, 10 men white stake, and 10 men orange stake will shoot down match play for 1 st and 2 nd in each group. The three winners will shoot down for 1 st and 2 nd overall. You do not have to be a IBO member to shoot this event. For more information go to
