Take a right at the US-27 N light in Newberry. Continue on US-27 N for about 1.5 miles and take right on the dirt road with the "Newberry Sports Complex" blue sign. The range will be located to the left of the Easton-Newberry Sports Complex building.

11 DRESS CODE: NAA Dress Code Link BOW WEIGHT: Compound bows are restricted to 60# draw weight maximum! ARROW SIZE: Arrows are restricted to a maximum of 9.3 mm shaft diameter. NO ELECTRONICS! This also means nothing electric on the bow to light up the sight. BAREBOW: Barebow division is limited to recurve bows. (Compound Barebow shooters will be classified Compound-Fingers). [Unbraced bow complete with accessories must be capable of passing through a hole or ring of 12.2cm inside diameter +/- 0.5mm] (that's approximately 4.8 inches) -- No stabilizers and no draw checks (no clickers). 13 Citrus Archers shoot on Sept 25 has been moved to Sept 18. Central Florida Archers held a 3d benefit shoot for Cecil Keen (in his battle with lymphoma) on April 17 th to raised money for him which will help with cost of driving back and forth to the clinic several times a week, etc. He would like to thank the participates of the shoot as well as Lee County Archers for their contributions. 16 FAA BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING Gator Bowmen, Gainesville FL 28 May The FAA Board of Directors met at the State Field Championship in Gainesville FL Saturday afternoon on 28 May Present: Tim Austin (Sec/Treas), Bob Jones (President), John Laudicina (South), Shelly Mascaro (NAA Representative), Jake Pettitt (Central), Oliver Austin (Northwest/NFAA Director), and Shannon North (Release Editor). Absent: Phil Graves (North) 2. Minutes of previous meeting were approved. 3. Treasurer report was approved Schedule was discussed and the following dates and sites were selected: A: 2012 Unmarked 3-D January Lee County Archers B: 2012 International Championship Feb Everglades and Tri-State double site. C: 2012 Indoor 9-11 Mar Ft Lauderdale and Newberry double site. D: 2012 Field May Gator Bowmen E: Sunshine State Games is schedule for second weekend in June in Alachua County F: 2012 FITA 8-9 Sep Easton/Newberry Center G: 2012 Target Oct Gold Coast Archers H: 2012 FITA Field Nov Central Florida Archers I: 2012 Senior Games will be hosted at Central Florida Archers the first Saturday in December. J: 2012 NAFAC is being requested for Everglades Archers second weekend in December 5. NFAA National Indoor is scheduled for Louisville KY in 2012 on 31 March and 1 April. 6. NFAA National Field (Outdoor) is scheduled for Mechanicsburg PA in July 7. Creating Alternate Data Base of FAA Records: Data were copied from Tim s computer and provided to Scott Barrett earlier in the year to create a new Access program for FAA. No communication has been received. Ft Lauderdale s President, Bill Coulter, came to Gainesville with Bob St Jean and brought a lap-top computer for FAA s use and initially started a program for reporting tournament results. Bob St Jean has developed templates and took away information on a zip drive. OPEN 8. NO ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION DEVICES ON UNMARKED 3-D RANGE: Not allow electronic communication devices or range finders on an unmarked 3-D range. Range officials will provide a phone number that can be used for emergency contact call in. Tabled till a future meeting. Not considered at this meeting and left Tabled. Open 9. SECOND READING: Due to cost of awards the Secretary moves to eliminate the separate reduced shoot fee for young archers. The cost of the award provided is $12.81 and the shoot fee provided to the host club is $5.00. All surcharges go to the host club. The recommendation is that we will have one standard shoot fee of $20. Approved by all board members contacted. CLOSED 10. President moved and Secretary seconded that we change the standard Invitational shoot fee to $10 and the standard Regional and/or Target/3-D fee to $15. Unanimous approved. OPEN FOR SECOND READING 11. Secretary moved and Northwest seconded to allow new fees to start immediately. So Voted. CLOSED. 12. The FAA Board approved presentation of a $500 Scholarship Award to Michelle Gilliard to be presented immediately. 13. The meeting was adjourned at 5:20 PM Timothy O.
