3 BATH INTERNATIONAL CUP 1. INVITATION We would like to invite you to the inaugural international football tournament in Bath. Since 2003 players of BWB03 have been welcomed all over Europe to participate in tournaments, exchanges, festivals and conferences. Now we would like to bring Europe to Bath, England. District School football in England is an important platform and the Premier League recognises this arena as one in which young players can enjoy and develop within the national game. Alongside BWB03, the Premier League would like to bring together district teams, academy Premier League teams and international teams for a weekend of fun and football in one of England's most celebrated places, the World Hertiage City of Bath. 4 BATH INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT TRAVEL & LOCATION Bath is located in the south west of England, the nearest city being Bristol. From London From Birmingham From Bristol From Bournemouth From Exeter 1.5 hours 2 hours 25 minutes 2 hours 2 hours Airlines from Bristol: - KLM - Easyjet - Ryanair - Monarch - Brussel Airlines - Thomas Cook - Aer Lingus - BMI GETTING HERE There is no international airport in Bath, but we will arrange to collect you from the airport and to bring you to Bath. Indeed, we will arrange your transport for your stay in Bath.

5 BATH INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT City of Bath A designated UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Britain s Heritage Cities, Bath is home to some of the finest architectural sights in Europe, including the stunning Royal Crescent, the Circus and Pulteney Bridge one of the most beautiful bridges in the world. Don t miss the beautiful Bath Abbey, where the first King of England was crowned in AD973. The Romans discovered Bath s hot spring waters over 2000 years ago and you can now see just how they enjoyed them at the world-famous Roman Baths. It s not all about the Romans though Jane Austen was Bath s most famous resident, and you can step into her world at the fascinating Jane Austen Centre. And of course, Bath is famous for its rugby as it hosts one of the country's most successful rugby teams. The stadium is located in the middle of the city.

6 BATH INTERNATIONAL CUP ACCOMMODATION Host Family Option We have a certain number of English families who have made themselves available to host two boys together. Each family will collect their guests from the tournament venue and return them when required. Before the tournament, we will ensure that the host families in England contact the boys' parents abroad. University of Bath Option The University of Bath is situated on one of the 7 hills of Bath and is a 5 minute car journey from the tournament playing fields. Cost: a night per person (breakfast) Private Booking Option Teams are welcome to search for their own accommodation. Be aware that it is a bank holiday weekend in England and Bath is a top tourist destination.

7 BATH INTERNATIONAL CUP CATERING Whilst playing the tournament each team will be provided with meal vouchers for lunch. For the Saturday evening we aim to have a barbeque with all teams together.

8 Bath international Cup THE TOURNAMENT The tournament will take place over two days and will be for boys born in The format will be 9 v 9 and games will be up to 30 minutes long. We recommend that teams bring between players. The games will be played on both grass and artifical surfaces at Odd Down Sports Ground, Bath
