2 Project at a Glance THDCIL is focus on various social and environmental development activities such as education, health, Skill Development, sanitation, infrastructure, rural development, plantations etc. in its project affected area under company CSR. AS per CSR policy some social activities are being taken with joint assistance of other agency/foundation/institution. SEWA THDC and Rotary Foundation, Rishikesh has taken a economic and community development program in the business area of THDCIL with a joint financial assistance of rupees 43,20,000/= (share of THDCIL Rupees 32,40,000/ and share of Rotary Foundation Rupees 10,80,000/ ) A Cooperative organization is any reputable non Rotary organization or academic institution or academic institution that provides expertise, infrastructure, advocacy, training, education or other support for the grant. Implement Agency and Activities taken The said CSR project which covers mother and child Health care, Economic & Community Development, education development and women empowerment in project affected/ rehab area in Tehri and Rishikesh has been jointly undertaken by SEWA THDC and Rotary Foundation for an amount of Rs. 43,20,000. Rs. 32,40,000 is contributed by SEWA THDC and Rs. 10,80,000 is contributed by Rotary Foundation. The project is carried out through various agencies as KM College, Delhi University, Rotary Club Rishikesh itself and other nonprofit organizations. MOU between SEWA THDC and Rotary Club Rishikesh A Global Grant in Deen gaon and surrounding villages of District Terhi An MOU was signed between SEWA THDC and Rotary Club, Rishikesh to implement social development project such as health & sanitations, education, and community development at remote project affected area/ rehab area. Under this project a medical dispensary is developed at Deen gaon in block Pratapnagar of district Tehri by providing the medical equipments. Some educational materials have been provided to primary schools and degree college in New Tehri Town. The MOU was signed with a project cost of USD and part of SEWA THDC is USD for this project.

3 Primary Health Centre Deen Gaon: THDCIL is running an allopathic dispensary with basic diagnostic investigation (Pathological, X ray) and minor OT facilities through trained paramedical staff and MBBS doctor at Deen Gaon in remotest part of backward district Tehri Garhwal (Uttarakhand) since with the help of KM College, Delhi University.. Earlier medical facilities and infrastructure of this Dispensary was meager so it was observed and decided to improve the infrastructure of the Dispensary by providing the medical equipments being a remote area of district Tehri.. Under the project which is mutually implemented by Rotary Club and SEWA THDC, the health centre and its laboratory have been equipped and strengthened by medical equipments i.e. X ray machine, ECG machine, Furniture, Ambulance and other related necessary medical equipments those were procured by Rotary Club Rishikesh. 6 Villagers from villages are being benefitted by this dispensary and OPD per day with primary necessary health test is being carried out at the centre. Medicines are being providedd free of cost to all the patients and are of generic in origin. Ambulance is being used for facilitating critical patients and organizing medical camps in the area.
