2 Note: Transportation will be provided by DEVIDA between the Trujillo airport and Hotel Costa del Sol, Hotel Casa Andina and Hotel Libertador. To take advantage of this, participants must complete the travel schedule form (Annex III) and send it to Andrea Alcantara before November 1, Working Languages and Documents The working sessions will be conducted in the four OAS official languages: English, Spanish, French and Portuguese. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in those languages. All documentation will be available in English and Spanish in the CICAD website. The OAS has a policy of holding ecofriendly meetings. Therefore, the printing of documents will be limited. Participants are kindly urged to download the documents available in English and Spanish at: 5. Requirements to enter the country Delegates will be responsible for meeting all entry requirements established by the Government of Peru. Participants, who require a visa to enter the country, should contact the Consulate of Peru in their respective countries (See Annex V). 8. Arrival at Trujillo and Lima Airports The Government of Peru will have Protocol personnel at Lima and Trujillo airports to welcome delegates. Additionally, Protocol personnel will help delegates with their transfers to domestic flights (Lima Trujillo) or transfer to the Lima Airport hotel Wyndham Costa del Sol. A shuttle service between Trujillo airport and the hotel Costa del Sol, Casa Andina, and Hotel Libertador will be available for arrival and departure. This service will be provided to participants who stay at the listed hotels. Participants are kindly requested to send their flight and accommodation information in advance, and after registering online, kindly send the attached form (Annex III) to Andrea Alcantara, aalcantara@devida.gob.pe before November 1, If you are staying at a different hotel than those listed above, participants are asked to make sure to take an authorized taxi service. 9. Medical care It is recommended that delegates have medical insurance with international coverage for major medical expenses.

In the Event or Password area, type in the event code: PE0065 If you have previously registered for other events using this system and received a password, type this password in the form area to obtain access to the event registry or information of other events for which you have already registered. If you have previously registered and have a password but don t remember it, click on the button Forgot Password, which will send a message with the password to your address. Click Enter. The system will display the registry form. Please fill in the personal information form. In the Country area, indicate the country that you represent. If you do not represent a country, select International Organization from the drop-down list. The section concerning Day/time of arrival/departure and flight number may be filled out at a later date if you don t have your flight information at this time.
6 Finally, you should click on the button Submit Registration and the information will be forwarded to CICAD and the system will send a confirmation message to your address. The My Events tab will display a list of the events to which you have registered. If there is a plus symbol on the left margin of the event ( ), that means that the event has a list of documents that are accessible by clicking on the icon. To select a specific document, click on the description. The User Profile tab shows your basic information from registering in the system, which remains for future events. This basic information can be seen only when you log on to the system with a password, not when you are just providing an event code.
7 The Change Password tab allows you to define a new password for accessing the system. You will then be able to log on and change any information in your profile. If this is the first time you have registered for a password, fill in the New Password area and then type it again in the Re-type area and then click on the Change button. If you have a previously defined password and wish to change it, type the password with which you accessed the system in the Old Password area and type in the New Password and Re-type the new password that you want to use. Each time that you change your password, the system will send a message to your address notifying you of the change. To log off the system, click on the Disconnect button.

13 ANNEX V. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS TO PERU FOR OAS MEMBER STATES 1. COUNTRIES THAT DO NOT REQUIRE VISAS IN DIPLOMATIC AND OFFICIAL PASSPORTS Peru has signed visa-waiving agreements for holders of diplomatic, special, official and service passports with the following countries. Additionally, for other countries Peru has unilaterally waived the visa requirement. In both cases stays should not exceed 90 days. Holders of diplomatic, official, special and service passports should contact the Consulate of Peru in their countries and request the corresponding Official Visa. Canada USA Holders of Cuban Official Passports should also visit the Consulate of Peru to request the corresponding Official Visa. 3. 14 Costa Rica Guatemala Dominican Republic Cuba Haiti (*) El Salvador Nicaragua (*) For Haiti, where there is no Peruvian Diplomatic or Consular Mission, the Government of Peru recommends that participants arrange their visas in the country of transit, or contact the organizers of the event to request entry without a visa, through the National Superintendency of Migration. This information will be brought to the attention of the International Civil Aviation Association (IATA). 4. 15 ANNEX VI: OTHER ITEMS OF INTEREST AND TOURIST INFORMATION Peru is a country in western South America and covers 1,285,216 km 2 (496,225 sq mi). It is bordered in the north by Ecuador and Colombia, in the east by Brazil, in the southeast by Bolivia, in the south by Chile, and in the west by the Pacific Ocean. Geographically, the country is traditionally divided into three regions: the coast, the highlands and the jungle. Local time The official time in Peru is five hours behind Greenwich CST Time (UTC -5). Business hours Commercial establishments are open from 9:00 a.m. until 8.00 p.m in Peru. Banks are open Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Government offices work from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Currency Local currency is the Nuevo Sol (US$ 3.18 as of July 2015). Most international credit cards (Visa, MasterCard or American Express) are accepted at hotels and businesses. ATMs are available in commercial and banking areas, and they operate 24 hours a day. Weather The weather in Trujillo remains pretty constant throughout the year. The temperatures range between 18 and 28 C (64 F 82 F) from November to April. Electric current The electric current is 220 volts (in the hotels Costa del Sol and Casa Andina, the electric current is 110 volts in the bathroom). Electric plugs types A, B and C may be found. Participants are recommended to take a 220 to 110 transformer/adapter with you if necessary. Transformers and plug adapters are available in local commercial establishments.
16 La Libertad Region Trujillo is the capital of La Libertad Region and was founded by Diego de Almagro on December 6, 1534.It was inhabited for over 10,000 years by the Cupisnique, Viru and Salinar tribes, the same tribes that led to the Chimu and Mochica cultures that developed during the 1st to 7th centuries AD, long before the expansion of the Inca Empire and the arrival of Spain, in the 15th and 16th centuries. In its surroundings you can see temples, pyramids and cities of clay that survived inclement weather: Chan Chan, Huaca del Sol y la Luna and El Brujo. You may also notice the imposing colonial architecture and vivid traditions like fishing in Caballitos de Totora (traditional boats of the northern coast). It is not only the principal historic site in city of the republic era but is also located in the central zone of the Historic Center of Trujillo. The Freedom Monument, the work of sculptor Edmund Möeller, is located in the center of the Plaza de Armas.. Trujillo Cathedral Visiting Hours: Everyday 7am 12:30pm and 5:30pm 8pm Location: Plaza Mayor Built in 1666, it safeguards and is host to valuable works of art. Cathedral Museum Visiting Hours: Mon-Fri 9am 1pm and 4pm-7pm/Sat 9am 1pm Location: Inside the Trujillo Cathedral The museum contains a collection of objects related to liturgy and carvings and paintings of the colonial period; among them, two canvasses stand out: La Negación de San Pedro (The Denial of Saint Peter) and the portrait of John the Baptist.
17 Belén Church Visiting Hours: 7pm - 8pm Location: Corner of Almagro and Ayacucho Streets Construction of the church started in 1680 and ended in Built with adobe, brick, and thatch, the facade is marked by two towers with three-cornered pilasters. The arches, pilasters, and pillars on the interior are of the Trujillan style of the 17th century. El Recreo Square Visiting Hours: Free Location: Jr. Pizarro, block 9 A historic square with its imposing facade pointing the way to the mountains. Restored in 1986, it contains an old fountain that was originally in the Plaza Mayor. Pay particular attention to the water box which fed the lots during the colonial era. Attractions Nearby the City of Trujillo Chan Chan Citadel (Trujillo) Visiting Hours: Monday Sunday 9am - 4pm Location: 6.5km northwest of Trujillo, in the Moche Valley (10 minutes by car) The largest mud city of pre-hispanic America, the Chan Chan Citadel was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in Chan Chan was the capital of the Chimu Kingdom and originally covered more than 20 km 2 from near the port of Huanchaco to Cerro Campana. Archaeologists believe that it housed over 100,000 workshops, streets, walls and pyramidal temples. Its enormous walls are decorated with geometric figures, stylized animals, and mythological beings. The tour is complemented by a visit to the accompanying museum. Huaca del Sol and Huaca de la Luna (Trujillo) Visiting Hours: Monday Sunday 9am 4pm Location: 8km south of Trujillo (15 minutes by car). The Huaca del Sol (Temple of the Sun) functioned as the political center of the Moche, while the Huaca de la Luna (Temple of the Moon) functioned as a ceremonial center. Between them, there is an urban area composed of houses, large avenues, alleys, corridors and plazas as testaments to the Moche s high degree of political, religious, economic and social organization. The Huaca de la Luna is made up of superimposed temples according to different stages of the Mochica power. On some walls, you can see beautiful multicolored murals whose clearly defined figures represent the god Aiapaec. In the temple, archeologists have discovered a tomb with more than 40 sacrificed warriors. For the moment, the sightseeing tour only includes the Huaca de la Luna. Moche Huacas Museum (Trujillo) Visiting hours: Monday Sunday 9am 4pm Location: 300 meters from the Huaca de la Luna Opened in June 2010 the museum is organized into three themed rooms. Furthermore, the structure references the building tradition of the Moche culture.
18 Huaca El Dragón (Temple of the Dragon), also known as the Huaca del Arco Iris (Temple of the Rainbow) (Trujillo) Visiting Hours: Monday Sunday 9am 4pm Location: 4 km from Trujillo (10 minutes by car), La Libertad This Adobe pyramid is important because it was constructed at the beginning of the Chimu culture and at the end of the Tiahuanaco-Wari culture, between the tenth and eleventh centuries AD. Its estimated age is, therefore, 1100 years. The building has a quadrangular base and its walls are decorated in high relief with zoomorphic and anthropomorphic figures. The name of the temple originates from one of these figures, a two-headed creature with uncountable feet, similar to a dragon. Researchers believe that one of the functions of this temple was for hosting ceremonies linked to rituals in honor of the rainbow and other natural phenomena related to fertility. Seaside Resort of Huanchaco (Trujillo) Visiting Hours: Free Location: 13 km northeast of Trujillo (15 minutes by car) According to legend, 800 years ago Prince Tacaynamo and his entourage disembarked in Huanchaco and founded the first Chimu dynasty. "Reed horses", traditional rafts used by fishermen from the northern coast of Peru since pre-columbian times, can still be found navigating its waters. It is one of the most popular beaches on the coast of Peru for surfers. Museums in Trujillo MUSEUM OF ARCHEOLOGY Located in the Casa Risco, donated to the National University of Trujillo by the government in The museum showcases the cultural development of the north coast from 10,000 BC until the arrival of the conquistadors in Jr. Junín Telephone: Monday to Saturday: 09:00 17:00 Adults: S/ Children and students: S/ MUSEUM OF THE DAMA DE CAO OR THE WITCH Located in front of the Huaca Cao Viejo. The museum is organized into six themed rooms and also has LCD monitors, showing videos and animations explaining details of what is presented in each room. MUSEUM AT THE MOCHE TEMPLES Located a few meters from the Huaca de la Luna. It was opened in June Its architecture recaptures the building tradition of the Moche culture. Its interior is divided into three themed rooms. Additionally, each of the displays has explanatory captions in Spanish and English. MUSEUM AT CHAN CHAN ARCHEOLOGICAL SITE Located within the city of Chan Chan, near the road to Huanchaco.
