In the Sacred Valley of the Incas you will do an easy walk of two days spending a night in tents. The following days, you will have hiking, mountain biking and rafting activities in Ollantaytambo, before arriving to visit the lost city of the Incas: Machu Picchu. It ends with an excursion on Titicaca Lake with sailing on a boat to go fishing in the islands of Taquile and Uros. It will be an unforgettable adventure! The rest of the morning will w be at leisure to acclimatize to the altitude and rest. In the afternoon, you will visit the capital of the Incas, the Plaza de Armas, the cathedral and the monastery of Santo Domingo where the famous Temple of the Sun or Koricancha is located. D3 CUSCO This day willbe an adventure visiting the four important archaeological sites near Cusco on horseback, you will go from ENACO where our ur adventure begins, you will ride towards the community of Pumamarka, a beautiful scenery will be the perfect starting point for your excursion, you will get to your first destination Tambomachay the archaeological remains of one of the major sacred sites of the Incas. After visiting this place you will go to Puca Pucara, an ancient fortress that guards the entrance to the capital and therefore offers a splendid view over the valley and surrounding peaks. The third site is Qenqo, an important sanctuary thatt has many altars of sacrifice. The buildings are constructed with limestone. Finally, you will arrive to Sacsayhuaman which is located just above the city of Cusco. Its enormous carved stones joined with surprising accuracy form the outer walls. After this thi adventure you will ride back to the city of Cusco. The afternoon will be free for personal activities. This is the" Observatory of the Sacred Valley of the Incas" from from this place you will begin your walk along a path leading to the small town of Sihuas. Then you will go to Pukamarka pass (4.175 m) which overlooks the community of the same name. Enjoy the magnificent views of the Urubamba mountain range and the Sacred Valley. Continue to the Puma Punku Canyon, before changing the path to a restored ancient Inca trail. Our journey continues this time by bicycle to the salt mines of Maras. Its origin dates back to Inca times and it is still operated by hand by the inhabitants of the he region. 5 Family Tour to Peru D8 AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHU PICCHU (2450 M) - OLLANTAYTAMBO (2700 M) This day will start with a fascinating morning. You will wi take a bus to the famous Machu Picchu citadel, located on the edge of the mountain of the same name. You will visit this jewel of Inca architecture, located in a lush tropical vegetation area. You will visit the different neighborhoods, squares, royal houses, large agricultural areas, trails and observatories. After the tour, you will have free time to walk to the Sungate called "Intipunku," which is at 2,700 m. This place offers the classic panoramic view of Machupicchu. In the evening you will return to the village of Aguas Calientes to take the train back to Ollantaytambo and then moving on to Urubamba where you will spend the night. 6 Family Tour to Peru D11 LLACHON (3850 M) You will have this day to exploree the peninsula of Llachon. You will make a short walk along the shores of Titicaca Lake. You will share some activities with the families. Transportation: Private local boat. Overnight at local family houses Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. D12 LLACHON - TAQUILE (3900 M) - PUNO (3812 M) You will take a boat to travel to the island of Taquile, the island is covered with terraced fields constructed following the traditions of the Incas, the people live in the traditional way with a kind of Inca communism, there is private property but also there is collective work, about 300 people work in a regular day for them and other days for the community. The community has a self- principles "Do not sustaining economy and they still live on Inca steal,do not lie, Do not be lazy". The top of the island has beautiful views of the lake, the bay of Puno, Bolivia (Cordillera Real), and the Altiplano, it will be a reward for the efforts you make to get there.
