You will visit the city of Barranco where is a district of Lima full tradition and history, with fine streets and small colonial squares, where one can still sense the Antique spirit of Lima Later on we will head towards the heart of the city to visit its colonial site See various attractions of the city following the Paseo de la Republica, San Martin Square and the Plaza Mayor (Main Square) with their different buildings: Government Palace, Archbishop s Palace, the Basilica Cathedral and the Municipal Palace Continue our tour at the Convent of San Francisco, which was built in colonial times Free time in the late evening or return to your room preferences Accommodation in Lima Transportation to the cities One visit at the convent of San Francisco Visit at Archbishop s Palace (optional) Archbishop s Palace Entrance at the Water Magic Circuit Don t show money bucks

2 DAY 3 AREQUIPA CITY TOUR Morning visit to the City s major attractions. Visit Santa Catalina s Monastery Midday you will head for the Arequipa s main square, Cathedral, and the most picturesque neighborhoods such as Cayma and Yanahuara. You will stop over at a special viewpoint from where a spectacular view of the Misti Volcano can be enjoyed Entrance to Santa Catalina s Monastery Accommodation in Arequipa DAY 4 AREQUIPA > CHIVAY Pick up at 8:00am at your hotel for Chivay Stop by Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve Look out llamas and alpacas domesticated by the Andean people in Vizcachani View the highest point called Patapampa located 4800 meters above sea level Descend to the main town Chivay to have lunch and be dropped of at your hotel Visit the market of Chivay, relax in your hostel or take an optional walk In the afternoon you will visit the Calera hot springs Meal (B, L) Bus to Chivay Accommodation in Chivay Meals (D) Calera hot springs fee Relax and swimming in the hot springs Drink coca leaf tea (two times a day) Swimming clothes and towel for the hot springs No internet/wifi in Chivay

3 DAY 5 CHIVAY > COLCA CAYNON > AREQUIPA Leave the hostel and head to the Condor s Cross after a 6:00am breakfast From this point you will have an amazing view over the Colca Canyon Opportunity to take a nice walk from Condor s Cross (approximately 1.5 hours) Visit the Colca towns of Yanque with its beautiful church, Maca with its interesting geological problem The lookout points in Huayrapunko and Quehuisha where ice melts are destined for the Amazons Relax or take a walk around the city of Arequipa at night Entrance to Colca Caynon Accommodation in Arequipa Take a walk from Condor s Cross Please wear comfortable hiking shoes Bring a bottle of water Sun cream and hat No internet/wifi DAY 6 AREQUIPA > PUNO In the morning, free time and visit some sites After lunch in Arequipa, depart for Puno by bus (about 6hrs) Arrive in Puno and transfer to hostel/hotel Rest all the night Bus from Arequipa to Puno Accommodation in Puno Take a walk in the city of Puno Continue drinking coca leaf tea

4 DAY 7 JULIACA, PUNO > SILLUSTANI Pick up from your hotel in Puno at 2pm Travel by bus through the Altiplano, "the High Plains". On the way, we observe the typical flora and rural scenes of this area Upon arrival at the Sillustani Peninsula Observing the huge funerary towers known as Chullpas. Sillustani is a Peninsula surrounded by the Umayu Lagoon that gives the area an extraordinary contrast of colours and landscapes Return to Puno, visiting a typical farmhouse on the way (3½ hours round trip) At night, free time to walk or get some rest Meal (B,) Entrance to Sillustani Penisula Touristic Bus to Sillustani Accommodation in Puno Sun screen (sun block) is very important Hat Rain coat or a poncho (only in the rainy season) Please wear comfortable hiking shoes Bring a bottle of water Money in Peruvian Currency, take small change with you DAY 8 TITICACA LAKES > UROS & TAQUILE > PUNO > CUSCO Today you have a full day excursion to Lake Titicaca. Lake Titicaca, at 3820 meters, is the highest navigable lake in the world. Sightseeing on the islands of Uros and Taquile are following by lunch at a local restaurant in Taquile. Visit the island and the descendents of the Aymara and Quechua ethnicity. This beautiful island setting holds several terraced hillsides of Inca ruins, which you are free to explore. 5 DAY 9 CUSCO & 4-HOUR CUSCO CITY TOUR You will be greeted and transferred to your hotel in Cusco Visit the temple of Qurikancha, once an important religious center during the Inca period Visit the Cathedral of Santo Domingo, considered by many as one of the most beautiful cathedrals in all of South America Admire the impressive stonework at Sacsayhuaman, a testimonial to Incan architectural skills After dinner, at approximately 5:45PM will meet with a local deaf community Free time in the late evening or return to your room preferences Hotel/hostel pick-up/drop off Meal (B, L) Transportation to the city One visit at the ruins of Sacsayhuaman Accommodation in Cusco Visit at Santa Catalina Drinks at Hatonpa (optional) Meals (D) Entrance fees at the various museums Drink coca leaf tea (two times a day) DAY 10 PISAC > OLLANTAYTAMBO > AGUAS CALIENTES Start the trip with a visit to the impressive fortress of Pisac, known for its colourful handicrafts market Break for a traditional Incan lunch in the town of Urubamba. After lunch, continue on to the massive fortress of Ollantaytambo. This was the valley s main defense against the Antis and was the site of the Incas greatest victory against the Spanish during the wars of conquest. You will be transferred to the train station for a 2-hour rail ride to the town of Aguas Calientes, where you will spend the night.
