Inouye International Airport United Airlines counter (lobby #8) for group check-in. 10:44 PM Depart Honolulu for Los Angeles on United Airlines flight #1229. Tue Aug 7 h DAY 2 ARRIVAL DAY LOS ANGELES PANAMA CITY 7:14 AM Arrive at Los Angeles International Airport and pick up luggage. Proceed to the Copa Airlines counter to check-in for our flight to Panama City. 11:20 AM Depart Los Angeles on Copa Airlines flight #473. 7:41 PM Arrive at Tocumen International Airport in Panama City and proceed through immigration procedures. Claim your baggage and go through customs inspections. Exit baggage claim area and wait for your Tour Guide. Transfer to Panama City hotel by motor coach and check in, dinner on your own. DoubleTree by Hilton Panama City or similar Wed Aug 8 th DAY 3 PANAMA CITY B, L AM During the morning tour we will visit the ruins of Old Panama, climb up the Cathedral tower, and then continue to Casco Viejo (the old city compound), which dates back from the late 1600's. A bilingual guide will describe the events in history leading up to the eventual movement of the capital city to its present location. Casco Viejo is home for monuments of Ferdinand de Lesseps and other Frenchmen instrumental in the ill-fated attempt of the French to construct a canal through Panama. PM Lunch at local restaurant. 2 PM Our tour continues with a visit to the Miraflores Locks at the Panama Canal where large ships can be seen transiting the canal. Enjoy a presentation by the Panama Canal Authority on the history of the Panama Canal and marvel at the workings of this feat of human engineering. PM Return to the hotel. Dinner on your own. Claim your baggage and go through customs inspections. Exit baggage claim area and wait for your Tour Guide. PM Transfer to Lima hotel by motor coach and check in, dinner on your own. Doubletree by Hilton El Pardo or similar Fri Aug 10 th DAY 5 LIMA - CUSCO AM Check out of hotel and transfer to the airport in Lima for our morning flight to Cusco. 10:05 AM Depart for Cusco, Peru on LAN Airlines flight # :40 AM Arrive at Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport in Cusco. Claim your baggage and wait for your Tour Guide. PM Lunch at local restaurant. PM Today we will see the amazing colonial city built on the foundations of the Inca palaces. We will visit the Koricancha or Temple of the Sun, where we can appreciate the incredible masonry of the Incas, the Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral with its carved woodworks, altars and paintings. Then we will be driven to the Inca fortress of Sacsahuaman, Kenko, Puca Pucara and finally to Tambomachay, known as the Baths of the Inca. Finally, we stop at the living art workshop called Inka s Expression. The visit will allow passengers to see local artists creating wonderful silver, paintings and wood carvings. PM Dinner show at Tunupa restaurant, situated in the heart of the beautiful city of the Cusco right in the Plaza De Armas, where you can taste Novoandina cuisine - a modern style of cuisine from Peru and Andean countries which combines modern techniques with traditional Revised: February 14, 2018 Page 2

3 raw materials of Andean and Peruvian cuisine. Live Andean music and dancers of the region will provide an additional spectacle for our entertainment whilst dining. PM Return to the hotel. Sonesta Cuzco Hotel or similar ***We will stay one night in Aguas Calientes, please pack an overnight bag. *** ***We will leave our suitcases at the Cusco hotel.*** Sat Aug 11 th DAY 6 CUSCO AGUAS CALIENTES AM Check out of hotel and depart for our tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. AM Our first stop is Pisaq market where we can shop for handicrafts. Then we will continue along the Urubamba valley surrounded by farm lands and mountains. PM Lunch at local restaurant. PM Continue to Ollantaytambo. There we will tour the Inca fortress whose construction was halted by the arrival of the Spaniards. This is a great chance to learn about the architecture and building techniques used by the Incas. PM Take the Vistadome train to Aguas Calientes town out of Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival we will be escorted to our hotel where we will have dinner. El Mapi Hotel or similar Sun Aug 12 th DAY 7 MACHU PICCHU TOUR AM Check out of hotel and depart by bus (about 25 minute ride) for Machu Picchu the ancient Incan citadel that is one of the current 7 Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. After the morning s guided tour we will have lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge restaurant. After lunch you will have the option to hike up to the Sun s Gate (Intipunku) or return to Aguas Calientes for relaxation and shopping. You may want to bring insect repellant and a walking stick with you for the tour. There is one public toilet at the entrance near the cafeteria, and no others once we enter the park area. A small fee is collected though to keep it clean. In the past the fee was 1 Sol (Peruvian currency only). PM Lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge s restaurant. 4 Sonesta Cuzco Hotel or similar Mon Aug 13 th DAY 8 CUSCO LAKE TITICACA (PUNO) AM Breakfast at hotel and check out for transfer to Lake Titicaca. Today we will journey from Cusco to Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. Along the way we will enjoy the majestic backdrop of the Andes and the Altiplano, Andean flat plains where herds of alpaca and llamas graze. Lunch at local restaurant on the way to Puno. PM Check in to hotel and rest before dinner. Dinner at hotel. Sonesta Posada Del Inca Puno Hotel or similar Tue Aug 14 th DAY 9 LAKE TITICACA (PUNO) AM Our first stop on this full day tour to Lake Titicaca is the unique floating islands of Uros. These islands are built out of layers of Totora (endemic reed) by its inhabitants who also used this kind of reed for housing and to build rafts used as a mean of transportation, for fishing and trading. PM Lunch included on Amantani Island,13,300 feet above sea level and famous for its terraced hillsides where its people used to farm. Pre- Incan peoples claimed that this island was a sacred place, and that is why, if you allow it, you can feel its mystical energies flow around you. There you will learn about the quiet and simple lifestyle of the people who live there, farmers who have preserved many traditions from the Incas. PM Return to hotel. Dinner at hotel. Sonesta Posada Del Inca Puno Hotel or similar Wed Aug 15 DAY 10 LAKE TITICACA (PUNO) LIMA B, D AM Breakfast at hotel and check out for transfer to Lima. AM On the way to the airport we will tour the Sillustani archaeological site. This is an Inca cemetery with towers called chullpas built out of stone that get up to a height of 12 meters and that were used by as funeral chambers for the royalty. AM We will tour Lima s colonial downtown and its highlights like the Plaza de Armas, where the Presidential Palace is located, also the Cathedral and the City Hall. Then, we will get to know Santo Domingo church and monastery, a XVII century jewel, recognized as cultural heritage by UNESCO. The tour goes on to the modern district of San Isidro. Finally we will visit Larco Museum, a private collection with treasures of the Incas. PM Enjoy lunch at Huaca Pucllana restaurant, near the Huaca Pucllana, a great adobe and clay pyramid located in the Miraflores district built from seven staggered platforms. PM The rest of the afternoon is free to shop around the hotel and at Larcomar, a hip shopping centre with a splendid view of the bay of Lima and the sunset on the Pacific Ocean.
