2 UNCOVER LATIN AMERICA 6 DAY UNCOVER THE INCA LIMA/ CUSCO/ MACHU PICCHU DAY 1 ARRIVAL INTO LIMA Upon arrival into Lima s International airport, you will make your own way through the arrivals gates. Tonight you will overnight at your hotel which is located at the airport. A convenient place to rest for the evening. DAY 2 LIMA/ CUSCO Breakfast at your hotel at the airport. Flight from Lima to Cusco At the designated time (2 hours before your domestic flight departs) you will check in at your airline counter for your flight from Lima to Cusco. Upon arrival into Cusco you will be met by our staff. They will be holding a sign with your LAST NAME on it. You will be greeted and transferred to your Cusco hotel where you will have your trip Pre-Briefing. You will have the day free to rest, relax and acclimatize to the altitude. Dinner at Calle Del Medio Restaurant We have included a delicious dinner for you at Calle del Medio Restaurant which offers signature Peruvian cuisine. A 3 course set dinner is included. City Tour of Cusco You will be picked up from your hotel, for your walking tour of Cusco. We will start at the Koricancha Temple one of the most important buildings in the city. It was one of the most important centers of worship to the Sun God of the Incas that was converted into a Spanish convent after the arrival of the Spanish. We will then visit the wonderful Cusco Cathedral built between 1560 and We will then visit the San Pedro Markets where we will appreciate the local flavors and learn about the produce. After your tour you will be dropped off at your hotel. Our first stop will be Awanacancha, which is a small complex where we will admire Alpacas and Llamas, here we will learn about local dyeing techniques. Later we will explore the Pisac markets where you will have some free time to buy more arts and crafts than you bargained for. A delicious buffet lunch is included. In the afternoon, our tour continues to Ollantaytambo, home of the impressive Inca Fortress. After your tour here you will be dropped off at Ollantaytambo train station where you will take the train to Machu Picchu Pueblo. 3 DAY 5 AGUAS CALIENTES/ MACHU PICCHU/ CUSCO Breakfast at your hotel. Tour of Machu Picchu Rise and shine...world Wonder Machu Picchu awaits you! We recommend you go up to Machu Picchu for sunrise. You can catch a shuttle bus at this time. You will have an opportunity to explore Machu Picchu and take photos. At 10am you will meet your guide for your tour of Machu Picchu. You will be given a history tour and important facts about the ruins. Buffet Lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge After your tour we have included a delicious buffet lunch for you at the Sanctuary Lodge up at Machu Picchu. After lunch you will take the shuttle bus down to Machu Picchu Pueblo where you will board your train for your scenic train ride back to Cusco.
