2 Traditional Excursions: We organize different kinds of experiences in Cusco city, Sacred valley and Machu Picchu. Our experiences are private and customized to satisfy all your expectations. 3 1.- Pisaq Animal Rescue Centre Ollantaytambo (9 hrs). In this experience we will explore the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our first stop is in Pisaq, an old Inca City on top of the hill which offers spectacular views of the Andes mountain. Afterwards we will go down to the town of Pisaq to explore the traditional Inka markets, and then continue on to the animal rescue center. There you will see condors, pumas and local fauna which are close to extinction. After sometime here we will continue on to the other side of the valley to the town of Ollantaytambo to explore the culture, finishing the tour with a visit to a magnificent Inca fortress. 4 2.- Chincheros - Salt Mines of Maras Moray (6 hrs). We will explore the Valley of Maras including the town of Chincheros. Here you will learn about ancient techniques in textiles and agriculture. Chincheros is known for its archaeological history with a magnificently architecture, the church at the very top of the Inca temple. Here you can see some the Religious and architectural syncretism that have been maintained throughout history. Also in this tour we will visit a community of women weavers. They will demonstrate the work process of alpaca wool, and how they get the natural colors for tint the wool made with from plants, flowers, roots and minerals. A legacy our ancestors taught us many years ago. After this we will head to the town of Moray where we will visit the agricultural research center. There you will see circular terraces and subsequently the salt mines of maras. Almost 3500 pools of salt have been maintained and used for 2500 years. To finish the tour, we will visit the stores where they sell the processed salt mixes with herbs and minerals that can be used for seasoning, cleaning and exfoliation of the skin. 5 3.- Sanctuary of Machu Picchu (FULL DAY). The Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu is located in an ecosystem called cloud forest, characterized by lush vegetation and high mountains with cliffs. It lies between mountain range and high forest and so its ecosystem creates a wide variety of flora and fauna. This ecosystem is rich in biodiversity, hosting: Spectacled Bears (a symbol of the Sanctuary), Tarukas (Andean deer), llamas, many beautiful Peruvian birds such as the Rupicola, Quetzal, mountain toucan, and a variety of hummingbirds. Orchids, giant ferns, palms and bromeliads also grow here. Machu Picchu is a sacred place for the Incas due to its special location, climate, and natural resources. We will explore all its temples, shrines, the sun gate and the Inca bridge. This historic shrine in 1993 was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. 7 2.- ATV s in Moray and Huaypo lake (5 hrs). This is an amazing trip in the Maras Valley. We begin our wonderful adventure by travelling through some of the best scenery with enchanting views of the Veronica, Chicon, Pumahuanca and San Juan snow glaciers. We will visit the huaypo lagoon a very mystical and lovely place. Then travel on to the Munaypampa community after this we head to the salt mines of Maras where we will see the pools of salt that have been there for 2500 years and are still used for consumption, especially for its medicinal properties. Here you will have the opportunity to purchase different types of salt and then we will return to the square of Maras where a car will be waiting to take you back to your hotel. 8 3.- ATV s in The Valley of Chicón and Pumahuanca (4 hrs) This wonderful route where you can enjoy unforgettable moments with a lot of adrenaline surrounded by a spectacular landscape of the sacred valley, we will have beautiful views of the Glacier Apu Chicón and the Vilcanota river with its fields of crops and their farmers working their lands, we will cross the Vilcanota river by an old wooden bridge to have a view of the Maras salt mines and then visit the arariwa trout hatchery. 10 5.- Horse riding in the Sacred Valley (3 ½ hrs). We will have a beautiful experience riding on the mountain through the village of Huarán in the Sacred Valley where we will have wonderful views of natural landscapes, mountains, rivers and fields with their farmers working the land producing a variety of agricultural products such as Fruits and vegetables, because that area of the valley has another ecosystem and is closer to the high jungle, then we return to the town of Huarán where the car is waiting for us to return to the hotel. 11 6.- Mountain Bike in the Sacred Valley (4 hrs). 12 7.- Mountain bike in Maras Moray (6 hrs). We will have a wonderful and unforgettable mountain bike experience in the Maras valley, our adventure begins in Moray by a trail where we will have beautiful Andean landscapes and impressive glaciers, we will also have the opportunity to appreciate the fields of crops (quinoa, Barley, kiwicha) and small Andean communities, then visit the Moray Agricultural Research Center. The first part of our trip ends in the village of Maras, where we will enjoy our box lunch. After a short break we follow a path that descends to the impressive salt mines, where we will have a visit to the salt pools and then continue descending towards the town of Pichingoto where our trip ends and our car awaits us to return to the hotel. 13 8.- Rafting in the Vilcanota River. (3 ½ hrs). This wonderful experience on the Vilcanota River, is for all types of rapids lovers with or without experience, for both adults and families with small children. This unforgettable experience will be along the calm flat waters with very light rapids. Specially to enjoy the wonderful scenery and the waters of these rapids. This section from Ollantaytambo to Cachicata takes place at any time of the year, but is class III fast during the rainy season from December to April. 14 9.- Kayak o Stand paddle board in the Laguna Huaypo (4 ½ hrs). This wonderful experience begins at Lake Huaypo surrounded by breathtaking scenery. On the way we will pass through small Andean communities surrounded by fields of crops and their farmers working their agricultural products. Upon arrival at the huaypo lagoon you will receive an informative safety briefing by your guide. Then we enter the lake and begin our adventure. We will observe birds and some local fishermen with their nets and lines that are dispersed in the lake looking for fresh rainbow trout. 16 Hiking tours 1.- Moray Maras to Pichingoto (Full Day 7 hrs) This wonderful and unforgettable experience walking along the Andes mountain range enjoying landscapes and views of the Apus Veronica, Pumahuanca, Chicón and San Juan glaciers where you can take spectacular photographic shots. The walk begins at "Moray" Inca agricultural research center, we will visit the circular terraces where they worked and studied the agricultural products in different ecological floors to obtain a great variety of types of corn, potato and other agricultural products, then we continued the walk towards The salt mines of Maras, a small Andean community whose economy is based on salt collection and used 2500 years ago, this salt is very rich in minerals, used medicinally and exfoliating the skin. We make a short tour through the 3500 salt pools to continue our descent until we reach the Pichingoto bridge where our transport is waiting for us to return to the hotel Price: USD $ Private transportation (RT). 17 2.- Huchuy qosqo Lamay (Full day 9 hrs). This wonderful experience begins in the lagoon Piuray - Chincheros. We begin our hike early in the morning to see the first sunlight falling on the glacier Apu Veronica and all the Vilcabamba range. Our hike will be ascending at the start and then descending, with stunning views of the snow peaks along the way to the Huchuy qosqo archaeological complex. This place was an Inca palace, has large stone and adobe structures built on top of the mountain, with the sky as a background and streams on both sides. After a short break under the shade of the trees of Queñua (Andean oak) and enjoy our box lunch, we continue our walk through open field and then zigzag downhill to the village of Lamay where our transport awaits us to take us to a restaurant for dinner and then return to the hotel Price: USD $ Private transportation (RT). 18 3.- Chincheros - Urquillos Huayllabamba hike (6 hrs). This unforgettable experience in the town of Chinchero visiting the archaeological complex which is in perfect condition then a beautiful Colonial church built on top of Inca temples. Then we will go to Huayllabamba by a spectacular Inca Trail of stone that communicates with the town of Chinchero. We will have wonderful and spectacular landscapes of the sacred valley and also beautiful views of the Apu glaciers Sawasiray, Pitusiray and Veronica in part of the route. 19 4.- Willoq community - Pumamarca Fortress (7 hrs) This unforgettable experience begins by visiting the Willoq community. A charming village that works with textile art with ancient techniques that its Inca ancestors have left as a cultural heritage, their clothing is traditional and are known as the "huairuros", we will know their customs and traditions then we will continue with our tour to the fortress of Pumamarca, from here begins the trek where we will have wonderful landscapes of the valley of Patacancha and its beautiful terraces that are used until today. 20 5.- Perolniyoc wáter falls Ñaupa iglesia (7 hrs) This wonderful experience begins in the town of Sogma from where begins our walk towards the waterfalls of Perolniyoc that has a waterfall of 80 mts where on top de the waterfalls there is a temple dedicated to the water. Then we went to Ñaupa Iglesia a ceremonial Inca temple that until today the healers and shamans do their traditional medicine ceremonies and payments offer to the mother earth Pachamama and then we will return to the hotel.
