2 1 ST DAY - 1 ST MARCH ROME/MILAN LINATE,, IS PIREDDAS, (-/L/D) Departure by plane from Rome Fiumicino or Milan Linate to Cagliari. Arrival that day. Customs clearance and baggage claim. After baggage claim meeting with the Tour Leader and Moto Guzzi staff. Transfer offered by Is Molas Resort, with a tourist bus or mini van depending on your arrival time at Is Molas Resort 4*. Check-in and settling into your room. 1 pm gathering of participants at the resort pool (or indoor dining room if the weather is bad) for a short introductory briefing and buffet lunch. 3:30 pm departure from the Resort for a first orientation tour of around 120 km into the hinterland north of Is Molas: Heading south from the resort with a first stop in Teulada we will continue on the SP 70 inner road that takes us first to the Is Zuddas Caves, then up to Is Pireddas and finally to Giba from where we take the SS 195 back to Is Molas. 3 2 ND DAY - 2 ND MARCH, PORTO SCUSO, BUGGERRU, IGLESIAS, (B/L/D) Breakfast in the resort. Our motorcycles will be ready and awaiting us for the second leg of the tour that will take us to the west coast. Departure from the Resort along the SS 195 towards Teulada/Sant Anna Arresi. Our first stop will be at the port of Sant Antioco Island. Then we will head north along the coastal road. On exiting Sant Antioco, after the bridge we take provincial road SP 2 as far as Portoscuso, and then follow provincial road SP 108 towards Gonnesa. We continue along provincial road SP 83, with the magnificent scenery of the beautiful Sardinian coast unfolding before us. There will be a stop in Nebida for a short scenic stroll with panoramic view of the coast, Pan di Zucchero Island and the ancient mines. We continue along the SP 83 as far as Buggerru, where we stop for lunch. After lunch, we stick to the coast on the SP 83 until turning right onto provincial road SS 126, which takes us all the way to Fluminimaggiore We ride down roads immersed in the island s vegetation as far as Iglesias. Short stop if time permits before returning to Is Molas along provincial road SP 2 from Iglesias towards Villamassargia. Near UTA we take the Macchiareddu consortium road. We follow this until turning right onto state road SS 195, which takes us to. Expected return to Is Molas Resort at 6:30 pm. Free time 8:30 pm Dinner at the Resort. 4 3 RD DAY - 3 RD MARCH, VILLASIMIUS, MONASTIR, (B/L/D) Breakfast in the resort. Third leg of our itinerary to the island s east coast. 8:30 am departure from the Resort on state road SS 195 towards Pula and as far as Cagliari. Passing through Cagliari and Quartu Sant Elena we head down the coast through Capitana, Torre delle Stelle to the beautiful beaches of Villasimius and then up the coast to Muravera on the SP 18 through Sant Elmo as far as Olia Speciosa from where we continue north on state road SS 125 as far as Villaputzu. Stop for lunch in Villasimius at a restaurant serving typical inland Sardinian products. After lunch we return on the SS 125 towards Muravera and then turn left onto state road SS 387. We continue along the winding roads of the island s interior towards Ballao and then after a few kilometres join provincial road SP 25 to Silius and Senorbì. We return to Is Molas through Monastir, Cagliari and Pula. Expected return to Is Molas Resort at 6:30 pm. Free time 8:30 pm Dinner at the Resort. 5 4 TH DAY - 4 TH MARCH, SETTI BALLAS, CAPO SPARTIVENTO, Partenza (B/L/-) Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning, we will be able to take a quick trip to the south-western tip of the island, to enjoy some of Sardinia s most beautiful sights. 8:30 am departure from the Resort following the SS 195 towards Teulada/ Sant Anna Arresi before taking the SP 71 towards Setti Ballas. From here, the road is a succession of sweeping curves at sea level, offering us fantastic views over the spectacular Capo Spartivento lighthouse, and the breathtakingly beautiful beaches along the coastal road. In the case of flights arriving from Europe early in the morning (around 6 am), the room will usually not be available, unless special arrangements have been made. In such cases, where guests desire immediate access to the room, a fee equivalent to the cost of an extra night must be paid. LATE CHECK-OUT The hotels at our travel destinations generally require rooms to be empty by 10 am on the day of departure. In the event of a late departure, it is possible to provide access to rooms until 6 pm; this is subject to an additional charge which varies from hotel to hotel.
