Forte Dei Marmi is also well connected to the airports of Pisa (35km) and Florence (105km) History Forte Dei Marmi takes is names from the union of two important elements; The Fortino, a small fortress in the main square of the town and the marbles of the Apuan alpes. The Fort was ordered to be built by Pietro Leopoldo, Grand Duke of Tuscany, to defend the coast from enemy attacks. During the 19th century, the square became the main point for the collection of the Carrara Marble; it was then stocked and sent to the pier for worldwide shipping. Towards the end of the 19th century, Forte Dei Marmi gradually became well known as a healthful place for sea bathing and heliotherapy treatments. This trend turned the area into a thriving holiday destination, becoming popular among both pleasure seekers as well as those pursuing cures. German artists, such as

From the beginning Hotel Principe is part of the prestigious Leading Hotel of the World collection, in a few years it has been recognized by American Express entering the Fine Hotel Resort group and from 2017 has entered the portfolio of Virtuoso best hotels, the largest group of travel agencies specialized in the global luxury sector. The hotel offers "glam & Chic" services making it a holiday full of unforgettable experiences. Principe Forte Dei Marmi is a modern building different from any others in town using linear architecture in a contemporary style and sophisticated interiors; the hotel gives an immediate sensation of space, infused with natural light. The materials, used in the common areas and bedrooms, are wood, natural stone, neutral textiles, leather and above all glass, to create a transparency effect; the result is a refined atmosphere and elegant comfort. 28 rooms of which 15 are suites, divided on three floors. Our design bedrooms present glass-fronted bathrooms. Each one gives a sense of freedom and sophistication. The Principe Restaurant is a small oasis where it is possible to enjoy moments of relaxation and pleasure, with a gastronomic proposal that from breakfast to dinner satisfies the needs of everyone, above all families with children. POOL BAR The pool bar is open during the summer months, a drink, fresh extracted juice or an aperitif along the poolside is ideal to enjoy a moment of peace and quiet.

7 LUX LUCIS RESTAURANT AND 67 SKY LOUNGE BAR This unique one star Michelin restaurant gives the possibility to enjoy the Tuscan haute cuisine in one of the most exclusive locations in Forte Dei Marmi, the only local dominating the whole of Versilia. Lux Lucis and the 67 Sky Lounge bar are resident in a magnificent open space through the large glass windows and charming terrace, which overlooks the most beautiful views of Versilia. The backlit bar, the new De Manicor open kitchen - designed by the same chef Valentino Cassanelli, the large wall-mounted cellar where refined labels and the bioclimatic pergola make this terrace a unique place. Ideal for aperitifs, dinners, glamorous parties and exclusive events, it becomes an unforgettable experience at sunset, when the sun colors the sea of orange and the marble of the Apuan Alps tinted with pink. LUX LUCIS RESTAURANT Since opening in 2012, Lux Lucis has collected numerous of important awards over the years and has been reviewed in the most important guidebooks, such as Michelin, L Expresso, Gambero Rosso and Italian Touring Club. Sokol Ndreko, Lux Lucis Restaurant Manager has been awarded the best Italian sommelier at the BIWA Awards in 2015 (Best Italian Wine Awards) and Maître of the year for the guide "I Ristoranti d Italia 2017" of L Espresso. In 2017, great fulfillment for the Michelin star arrived for the Chef Valentino Cassanelli and it has been reconfirmed in "3 hats" assigned by the Espresso and with 86 points awarded by Gambero Rosso in At Lux Lucis, the executive chef Valentino Cassanelli brings all of his passion and enthusiasm and the great continuous free expression of contemporary cuisine increasingly recognized thanks to a mix of territory, contamination, taste and aesthetics. He proposes a menu à la carte with dishes that most distinguish its cuisine and two new tasting menus "Tuffo nel territorio" and "Contemporaneità della cucina". The first menu offers guests a trip to the typical Tuscan cuisine without losing the unmistakable contemporary touch of the chef and his refined cuisine. The second menu Contemporaneità della cucina is an explosion of tastes and innovation, which can be tasted completely with 15 courses or a Sintesi of 6 courses. The Lux Lucis Restaurant is open from March to the end of October.

8 67 SKY LOUNGE BAR Between the stars, the sea and the Apuan Alps, luxury melts with lifestyle at the 67 Sky Lounge Bar: an eclectic location, perfect for an aperitif with friends or a drink after dinner, with a sophisticated choice of cocktails and champagne to sip during the full calendar of festivities and special events. Thanks to its versatile spaces, the rooftop terrace is the ideal space for all types of meetings and offers the possibility to set up placed dinners, cocktails and corporate parties, private celebrations such as unforgettable birthdays, anniversaries and graduations. The 67 Sky Lunge bar is open every evening from 6:30pm DALMAZIA BEACH CLUB AND DALMAZIA RESTAURANT In October, the summer continues only at Bagno Dalmazia: the exclusive beach of the Principe Forte dei Marmi is one of the historic beach establishments of the Versilia town. From April onwards, guests can really feel like princes, on a stretch of sand that becomes a luxury living room with 30 cabins and 36 large tents to shelter from the sun, far from each other like no other beach establishment in the area. Here you can enjoy tranquility and be pampered by personalized service and an always attentive staff. Moreover, not just relaxation, among the activities that can be organized there are swimming lessons, specific training sessions with a personal trainer, paddle lessons, surf school and, to entertain even the little ones, the kids laboratory. For sea lovers who wish to set off for mini-cruises or five-star sea excursions, it is possible to rent the Marina di Principe, the hotel yacht, a 24-meter Mazarine, and discover the coast from Versilia to the Cinque Terre, with an excellence treatment onboard. Dalmazia Beach club will be completely renovated by 2019 DALMAZIA BEACH RESTAURANT Valentino Cassanelli kitchen offers traditional local dishes and daily fresh fish arriving at the Dalmazia Beach. The restaurant is a large veranda with an incomparable view of the sea: tastes and colors of the sea blend to create the ideal atmosphere for a delicious and authentic lunch. In summer, the restaurant opens during the evenings only on exclusively or to organize dinners under the stars to the guests of the Principe hotel. Open from May to October. MARINA DI PRINCIPE, THE YACHT Find the complete freedom of the open sea. Our 24-meters Mazarine yacht boasts a fly bridge and four cabins: two suites with king bed and private bathroom and other two rooms with twin beds sharing one bathroom. Marina di Principe offers a unique experience, offering all the benefits and facilities of a floating villa. There are numerous opportunities to reach extraordinary destinations such as the Cinque Terre and Portofino in an atmosphere of luxury, comfort and privacy. The design and the furnishings of the yacht recall those of the hotel and every detail has been studied, the crew will know how to make guest enjoy every single moment of this unforgettable voyage. 10 CONCIERGE Le Cave di Marmo (The Marble Quarries).Unique tour inside the famous Carrara marble quarries with guided excursion. On board, a jeep the Guests, starting from the hotel, can see and touch the famous white marble that brought Michelangelo to this land. The visit lasts about 4 hours on a pre-established route where the techniques of working marble are learned. Upon request, at the end of the tour, you can enjoy a traditional lunch of local specialties. Pietrasanta. "Little Athens", so named for its history and the beautiful works of art it hosts, has welcomed in the past Michelangelo Buonarroti, Vasari and in more recent times Arnaldo Pomodoro, Joan Mirò and Fernando Botero. The small medical town is a little gem, which stands out of Versilia for its authenticity and the arts making it the town s strong point. You can walk around the centre admiring the numerous sculptures on the street of artists from all over the world who come to learn the techniques of working bronze and marble. It is always enjoyable to appreciate an aperitif in the evening in Piazza Duomo and then treat yourself to a dinner in the main traditional restaurants. Trip to Lucca. Accompanied by our staff you will discover the beautiful medieval city that even Forbes has selected as the second best place in Europe to live. The city is protected by ancient walls of the '500 that allows access to the historic center only through six doors. Do not miss Piazza Anfiteatro, the walk along Via Fillungo and the bike ride over the walls to admire the whole city. Pisa. The famous "Leaning Tower" is only a few minutes drive from Forte dei Marmi. Accompanied by our staff you can enjoy a day dedicated to art and visiting the famous Piazza dei Miracoli declared a World Heritage Site. The river Arno runs through the city, whose banks have developed the entire historic center with its shops and the famous University of Pisa. Golf. Among the various sporting activities, that you can do in Forte dei Marmi you can not miss the Golf. An 18-hole course among thick woods, sand bunkers, wide fairways and water obstacles.
