The seminar is co hosted by the Federation of Afro Asian Insurers and Reinsurers (FAIR). In the framework of the FAIR s strategy to enable a seamless know how transfer and knowledge network within the Afro Asian region, the seminar will focus on providing a comprehensive outlook from the Turkish insurance market and the European insurance business, by relying on fast track harmonization process to the European Single Insurance Market and ever increasing multinational character of Turkish insurance market, regarding Casualty insurance business. The seminar aims at convening many Turkish senior executives from multinational insurance companies with their counter parts from Afro Asian region to create a platform which allows exchange of ideas and experiences as well as learning from each other. It is better that you consume bottled water, which is readily and cheaply available. Climate: Turkey is situated in a geographical location which results in significant differences in climatic conditions from one region to the other. While the coastal regions enjoy milder climates, the inland Anatolia plateau experiences hot summers and cold winters with limited rainfall. Istanbul is generally degrees in the spring and autumn. In the winter time the temperature is around 3-10 degrees and in the summer time the temperature may rise up to 30 degrees. 10 AIRPORT TRANSFERS From Sabiha Gokcen Airport It is recommended to take a taxi from airport to the hotel, which is 7 km, as the most convenient way. It would cost around TL ( or $14-17) From Ataturk Airport The first and most convenient way is to take a taxi. It would cost around TL ( or $57-62) Grand Bazaar Ortakoy Mosque The second choice may be the hotel s exclusive transfer service which costs 120. The guests who ise expected to arrive Istanbul at the similiar time, may share the cost. Please consult the hotel for the availability and the cost-share for the transfer service. The third choice is to take the Airport Shuttle (Havatas) to 4. Levent. The shuttle departures in every 30 minutes. Then, you can take the bus (500T) to Pendik Köprüsü. And, finally, a taxi will drive you from Pendik Köprüsü to the hotel. The whole travel would cost TL ( 7-9 or $9-11). Please consider that a public transportation card (Istanbul card) must be possessed to use the bus.
