1 199 th Two-Year College Chemistry Consortium (2YC 3 ) Conference Dear Colleague/Friend: Thank you for your interest in the 199 th 2YC 3 (Two-Year College Chemistry Consortium) conference scheduled from November 9-10, 2012 at Arizona Western College (AWC) in Yuma, AZ. My name is Scott Donnelly, the conference's Program Chair (scott.donnelly@azwestern.edu, ). The conference s Exhibits Coordinator is Francisco Villa (francisco.villa@azwestern.edu, ). The conference s website can be accessed at On the website you will find documents related to registering for and attending the 199 th conference as well as documents related to the slides found in this informational flyer. Most of the slides in this information packet are also found individually on the conference website. Specifically, this flyer contains logistical information germane to attending the conference. Included is information related to air transportation, lodging accommodations, renting a car, maps of the AWC campus and the immediate Yuma-AWC area, dining establishments, and some brief information about the Yuma area. It is our hope that you come visit AWC and Yuma located in the far flung western frontier of the southwestern US and the ecologically diverse Sonoran Desert ecosystem. Cheerio and safe travels.

11 Lunch is on your own. Arizona Western College has a eatery/cafeteria that will be open during the 2YC 3 conference for lunch on both Friday (Nov. 9) and Saturday (Nov. 10). Conference attendees are more than welcome to eat at the AWC Eatery/Cafeteria. Or perhaps you may want to have lunch elsewhere. Below is a map showing eating establishments within 5 miles of the AWC campus. The best roundtrip route to take is the 24 th St. to Araby Rd. to I-8 to the Fortuna Rd. exit (and vice-versa) route. 16 The two hotels are across the street from one another. A shuttle van operated by the hotels will be available for roundtrip transportation between AWC and the two hotels. But please be advised that the shuttle van has limited seating capacity (8 occupants) so you may have to wait (perhaps a long time) for a shuttle ride.
