3 Welcome Message Congratulations to all teams that qualified for the Les Sinnott Memorial Boys Provincial B Cup. On behalf of the board of directors, players, parents and staff at the North Okanagan Youth Soccer Association, I would like to welcome you to Vernon. We are proud to be hosting the tournament this year. July 7 9am-7pm 2nd round of games Marshall Fields July 8 9am-7pm 3rd round of games Marshall Fields July 9 8am-4pm Final round of games Marshall Fields MacDonald Park Note: Opening Ceremonies Marshall Field #4 Start time 6:00pm Players are to congregate between the baseball diamond and the Indoor Centre beside the washroom doors. Coaches will be given detailed instructions at the Coach meeting on Wednesday. Please make sure spectators bring their own seating and an umbrella for shade or rain. Spectators will be located in the spectators section outlined on Field #4 (see field layout map). 2 P a g e

5 Special guest speaker will be the President of Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Bob Lenarduzzi. Other guest speakers will include the Mayor of Vernon, North Okanagan Youth Soccer Chairperson and BC Soccer Directors. On Site Medical Services/Taping and Preventative Injury Services Location First Aid room set up in the lobby of the VantageOne Indoor Centre. Emergency Action Plan Appendix A A service staffed by professionals provided will offer a free injury taping service. Bring your own tape and come early to ensure no athlete is late for their games. Service is available in the lobby of the VantageOne Indoor Soccer Centre. Maps See Appendix D City Street Map Marshall Fields MacDonald Park Fields Marshall Fields are located at 6601 Okanagan Landing Road MacDonald Park Fields are located on the corner of 27 th Street and 43 rd Avenue All fields are grass. Each field will have a designated technical area. Benches and shade tents will provided for players at each field. Only accredited team staff are permitted in the technical areas. There are designated spectator areas for each field. Field marshals will be on hand to ensure only those will proper credentials are in the player/staff areas of the field. The spectators sections are shown on the field layout drawing in Appendix D. Non spectator areas will be cordoned off by rope. On-Site Food Vendors/ Water There will be food and refreshment vendors on site. Both Marshall Fields and MacDonald Park are very close in proximity to other food options. Water will be available for purchase from the food vendors and a water sponsor will provide jugs of water with pumps. Players should bring their own water bottles to fill. 3 P a g e

6 Local Restaurants Vernon is home to a wide variety of restaurants from fast food chains to fine dining and everything in between. More info: Attractions Nestled between Okanagan and Kalamalka Lakes, Vernon has beautiful swimming beaches at either end of town. Please check out to plan some exciting activities while you are here. A few to mention are Davison Orchards, Silver Star Mountain Resort, Atlantis Waterslides, and don t forget to pack a tailgate picnic and take in a movie at the famous Starlite Drive-In located close to Enderby. Parking Marshall Field there are two lots directly in the vicinity of the soccer fields as well as one additional parking lot before the fields. These lots are marked on the field map for Marshall. Please be advised that parking at the Lakers Clubhouse just off of Marshall Field #1 is monitored so do not park in this area. MacDonald Park these fields are located at a high school so there are school parking lots that are directly adjacent to the fields. 4 P a g e

12 APPENDIX C ACCOMMODATIONS We are pleased to offer many local motels, hotels and resorts with a wide range of services and amenities to accommodate every budget. We have listed some resorts that are a little further away as we understand that some players and their families use this time as a vacation get away. If this is the case, we recommend the following: Silver Star Mountain Resort A GREAT place for families and large groups of people. They offer full kitchens, hot tubs, picnic spots, walking trails, mountain biking, and lots of outdoor activity available for all to enjoy. The resort is approx. 30 km away from Marshall Field (the main field) but definitely worth the drive. Predator Ridge Resort - A world class golf resort with beautiful rooms and luxury cottages. Predator Ridge offers much more than just world-class golf. From a state-of-the-art fitness centre to pools, tennis courts, biking, hiking & walking trails, grocery market with local wine, beer & spirits and access to one of the best wellness spa's in North America. Predator Ridge is a golf destination unlike any other in Canada. Sparkling Hill Resort - Another resort to consider if your player is travelling with the team and the parents just need a place to stay is Sparkling Hill Resort. This resort is actually the largest spa in Canada and the rooms are beautiful to take in some well-deserved RnR. Must be 16+ to stay, (Not recommended for teenagers and kids). Outback Resort - Designer vacation homes with Okanagan Lake views. Resort-style amenities include two pools, tennis courts, four hot tubs and a private beach. 60 acres of spectacular Okanagan Valley landscape and hiking trails. Well-equipped fitness center and a teen and game rooms in Owners Lodge. Some of the accommodators have offered group rates. When calling please ask for a group rate with the code NOYSA or BC Provincials. If they do not offer a group code it may mean the block is full as we could only block so many rooms. You are encouraged to ask for a reduced rate from the rack rate to see what might be available outside of the block of NOYSA rooms. We are a summer destination for many group tour agencies. Amenities include flush and pit toilets, showers, drinking water, fire pits, a playground and beach as well as hiking and biking trails. All campsites reservations must be made through Discover Camping CEDAR FALLS CAMPGROUND Well treed, cool campsite. Minutes to downtown, golfing, and beaches. They have showers, seasonal store, laundromat, internet, hiking trails and are kid and pet friendly. KEKULI BAY PROVINCIAL PARK This wheelchair accessible provincial park, just 11 km ( 7 mi) south of Vernon on Kalamalka Lake and offers many amenities including drinking water, flush and pit toilets, showers, fire pits, a playground and beach, hiking trails and boat launch. The park is situated on a beautiful bay on the west side of Kalamalka Lake, a destination for waterskiing and boating. 13 P a g e

16 SILVER STAR RV PARK There's newly renovated showers and washrooms at this full service campground with 56 full service sites and 31 sites with water and 30-amp power. There's a swimming pool, fire pits, an onsite store and a dog run! Rent a canoe and paddle around on Swan Lake. 10 minutes from Okanagan and Kalamalka Lakes. DUTCH'S CAMPGROUND Located about 500 yds North of Kalamalka Lake along Vernon Creek, Dutch's has over 100 camping sites along Vernon Creek shaded with mature trees and home to countless ducks, a few owls, the occasional marmot or beaver and once in a while some deer come by to say hi. There is a golf course just to the north of us, and downtown Vernon is a 10 minute drive, or the bus goes by on a regular schedule. Dutch's is family campground and are pet friendly. There is a coin operated laundry and showers, There is WiFi, cable for some sites, a 9 hole mini golf, a small tot playground and a small camp store on site. BBQ's, propane fire pits and briquettes are welcome, but please be aware that due to municipal bylaws there cannot be wood fires. 14 P a g e
