Founded in 1957 by then jazz drummer Cole Mathieson the Concorde started life in Southampton, attracting well known artistes in the early days such as Rod Stewart, Eric Clapton and Elton John. We moved to the Old School in 1970 and as one of the oldest jazz clubs in the world with our roots in jazz we are the proud winners of the Blue Plaque Award the venue voted the most significant to the history of jazz in the UK. Still under the same family ownership but with a diversified entertainment programme to a wider audience we continue to present the very best in live music. As a live venue tickets are booked in advance. We offer two types dining and standard (see below) so once you ve booked we ll allocate your seats or dining table in advance. Ticket prices vary according to the artiste/s and although you don t need to be a member, if you are, you benefit from reduced ticket prices. Where an event has reserved seating, seats are allocated in strict booking order.
