4 Događaj za pamćenje Dragi prijatelji, kolege i gosti, dobro došli na Adria Security Summit. Iako su ove riječi pisane desetak dana prije održavanja konferencije, već sada sa zadovoljstvom mogu kazati da organizacija protiče odlično i da dobrodošlicu upućujem blizu 400 sudionika. Zadovoljstvo je tim veće kada uzmem u obzir činjenicu da je od prvog nacrta na papiru prošlo tačno godinu dana novih ideja, usluga, informacija i kontakata. Dvanaest mjeseci truda koje je bilo neophodno uložiti kako bi se uspješno realizirao događaj sa renomeom dostojnim našeg medija i najviših svjetskih standarda. Rezultati su vidljivi. Dobili smo podršku i prisustvo vodećih svjetskih i regionalnih kompanija i stručnjaka, regionalnih strukovnih udruženja i medija. Summit je najveći susret ovoga tipa do sada i jedini sa istinski regionalnim karakterom. Event to Remember Dear friends, colleagues and guests, welcome to the Adria Security Summit. Although these words were written ten days before the conference actually took place, I am already pleased to say that the organization is going well and that I can extend warmest welcome to almost 400 participants. The pleasure is all the greater if I consider the fact that exactly one year has passed since the fi rst draft on the paper and it was marked by new ideas, services, information and contacts. These were twelve months of efforts that were necessary to be invested in order to successfully organize the event with a reputation worthy of our media and the world s highest standards. The results are visible. We received support and ensured the presence of leading international and regional companies and experts, regional professional associations and the media. The Summit is the largest gathering of this type so far and the only one with a truly Mahir Hodžić regional character. As one of our experts from Belgrade noted when he was sending a recommendation to his colleagues - this is an event for which we no longer have to leave the Adriatic region in order to enjoy its superb organization, attractive content and rich activities. 6 Adria Security Summit 2015 Tržište sigurnosti Jadranske regije u proteklih dvadesetak godina prošlo je kroz brojne promjene. One su jednim dijelom oblikovane specifi čnostima stanja u pojedinačnim zemljama regiona, a drugim dijelom su svojevrsna preslika globalnih kretanja. Od vremena nekadašnje zajedničke države, u kojoj je cjelokupna sigurnost bila pod njenom ingerencijom, preko turbulentnog procesa stvaranja sedam pojedinačnih zemalja i izazova koji su proizašli iz toga, do današnje situacije, kada se stanje sigurnosti nastoji unaprijediti prilagođavanjem standardima Evropske unije, izmjenama zakonske regulative i praćenjem globalnih trendova promjene kroz koje je prošlo tržište sigurnosti bile su znatne i trebalo je mnogo vremena da se uhvati korak za ostatkom svijeta. Lov u mutnom Sudionici tog tržišta suočili su se sa njegovom otvorenošću, rastom konkurencije, ulaskom stranih kompanija, privatizacijom, kapitalističkim tržišnim razmišljanjem, neprovođenjem zakona i/ili njihovom neprilagođenošću, smanjenjem cijena proizvoda na račun kvalitete. Prilika je to bila za sve, ma koje razine poslovne svijesti i vještina, da se okušaju i pokušaju izgraditi svoje mjesto na tržištu. Nije prošlo bez posljedica. Kao medij godinama detektujemo nezadovoljstvo niskim cijenama radne snage i padom kvalitete usluga fizičke sigurnosti, proizvodima koji ne udovoljavaju standardima, Adriatic region security market has undergone numerous changes over the last twenty years. They are, to some degree, shaped by the specific characteristics of the situation in individual regional countries and represent the reflection of the global trends. From the times of the former joint state, in which the entire security was under its jurisdiction, through the turbulent process of establishment of seven individual states and the challenges arising from it, to the present situation when the state of the security is supposed to be improved by adapting to the EU standards, amendments to legislation and keeping an eye on global trends - changes faced by the security market were substantial and much time was needed for it to catch up with the rest of the world. Fishing in Troubled Waters Participants in this market had to face its openness, growing competition, entry of foreign companies, privatization, capitalist-minded market thinking, lack of implementation of laws and/ or their harmonization and reduction of product prices at the expense of quality. This was the opportunity for everyone, no matter what level of business awareness and skills they are at, to try and attempt to secure their place in the market. This brought about some consequences. Being part of the media, for years we have been detecting dissatisfaction with low labor costs and drop in the 6

Naravno, druga strana medalje kaže da su stvari ipak bolje nego ranije, a glavni faktori napretka stanja su primjena svjetskih trendova i sve jača konkurencija. Medij kao edukacijska platforma U takvom kontekstu, prije nepunih deset godina javila se ideja o osnivanju medija koji će služiti potrebama sigurnosnog tržišta u razvoju. Ideja je pratila vodilju o nezavisnosti izvještavanja, a potrebama se nastojalo udovoljiti stalnim pisanjem o pozitivnim aspektima sigurnosti, bez žutih stranica i sa koncentracijom na važne teme. Isprva jedina u bosanskohercegovačkim okvirima, a zatim od i jedina koja nudi regionalno izvještavanje, a&s Adria postaje vodeća edukacijsko-informativna platforma za tržište sigurnosti Jadranske regije, koju su kao takvu prepoznali brojni stručnjaci iz branše. Rast medijske pokrivenosti je pratio i rast usluga. Od izdavača jednog magazina dospjeli smo do izdavača više publikacija i pokretača tri online platforme, članice najveće svjetske grupacije medija iz oblasti sigurnosti kompanije Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media, organizatora posjeta svjetskim izložbama sigurnosne opreme, organizatora poslovnih događaja za regionalne kompanije, suučesnika u promociji rada regionalnih asocijacija i osnivanju bosanskohercegovačkog udruženja menadžera sigurnosti, te voditelja istraživanja stanja na tržištu. Struktura Adria Security Summita Ipak, jedno je nedostajalo poslovni događaj istinski regionalnog karaktera, koji bi uspio okupiti sve sudionike zemalja bivše Jugoslavije i šire na jednom mjestu s ciljem razmjene iskustava, znanja i kontakata. Ideji na koju su nas poticali mnogi relevantni i prepoznati profesionalci iz struke svjedočite danas učešćem na prvom Adria Security Summitu. Njegova realizacija je trajala skoro godinu dana, uza sve vrijeme promišljanja koje mu je prethodilo. Prvenstveno se, naravno, vodila diskusija o samoj naravi tog eventa. Da li će to biti sajam ili samo konferencija ili opet nešto treće, hoće li adresirati cijeli kupovni lanac ili samo jednu njegovu stepenicu, da li će se fokusirati na tržište fi zičke, tehničke i mehaničke sigurnosti ili će se proširiti i na zaštitu, policijsku i/ili vojnu opremu, pametne domove, IoT itd.? Realnost je prevladala. Tržište Jadranske regije prosto nije dovoljno veliko da bi postojala potreba za sajmom sigurnosti i stoga je uzaludno pokušavati dostići evropske izložbe poput onih u Essenu, Londonu, Parizu, Milanu i Istanbulu. Stoga se organizacijski odbor odlučio za formu kakva se pokazala veoma uspješnom u svijetu izuzetno bogatu konferenciju kombiniranu sa izložbom proizvoda i usluga renomiranih kompanija prisutnih na tržištu. Tako je konferencijski dio okupio zaista vrhunske stručnjake u branši, čiji je renome privukao pažnju svakoga ko išta zna o ovoj oblasti, a izložbeni dio sve one koji žele raditi sa trenutno vodećim regionalnim ili quality of physical security services, along with the products that do not meet the standards, unfair competition in the tendering procedures, poor services or low quality security systems etc. Of course, the other side of the coin serves to demonstrate that things have become better than they were before and the main factors of the progress are the implementation of global trends and growing competition. Media as an Educational Platform In this context, about ten years ago we arrived at the idea on the establishment of the media which would meet the needs of the developing security market. The idea followed the principle of the journalist independence and meeting these needs by continuously providing reports on the positive aspects of security, without yellow journalism but rather with the focus on important topics. Initially, a&s Adria was the first in BiH and from 2007 onwards the only publication that offers regional coverage and it has become the leading educational and informative platform for the Adriatic region security market, which is recognized as such by many experts in the industry. The growth of media coverage was followed by the growth in terms of services. From the publisher of a single magazine, we grew to become a publisher of several publications and three online platforms, a member of the world s largest media group in the field of security - Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media, organizer of visits to international security technology trade fairs and business events for the regional companies, an actor in the promotion of activities of regional associations and the founding of the BiH Association of Security Managers, as well as an organizer of market researches. Adria Security Summit Structure Yet, one thing was missing - a business event of authentically regional character that would manage to bring together in one place all stakeholders from the former Yugoslav countries and beyond in order for them to share experiences, knowledge and contacts. Many relevant and recognized professionals in this fi eld encouraged us to act on this idea, whose implementation you can witness today by your participation in the fi rst Adria Security Summit. Its implementation lasted for almost a year, if we take into account the period of deliberation which preceded it. Certainly, we deliberated on the nature of the event in the fi rst place. Will it be a trade fair or conference only or something completely different, will it address the whole distribution channel or just one of its segments, will it focus on the physical, technical and mechanical security market or will it be expanded to cover protection, police and/or military equipment, smart homes, IoT? Sense of reality prevailed. Adriatic region market is simply not big enough to warrant organization of a security trade fair and it is, therefore, useless to try to compete with the European events, such as those organized in Essen, London, Paris, Milan and Istanbul. Therefore, organizational committee opted for the format which proved to be very successful in the 7

Dovoljno je kazati da strukturu predavača čine ljudi koji su radili na velikim projektima u svijetu, izradi softverskih i sigurnosnih rješenja, direktori ili vlasnici kompanija sa dugogodišnjim iskustvom u branši te voditelji najvećih svjetskih medijskih platformi, a da su kompanije među onima koje predvode na listi 50 najuspješnijih u svijetu ili su njihovi najveći regionalni zastupnici ili distributeri. Raznovrsnost u jedinstvu S obzirom na globalni trend međupovezanosti više segmenata sigurnosti u jednu platformu, kojoj su informacijske tehnologije integracijski ljepak, Adria Security Summit je ciljano išao ka tome da teme predavanja i poslovni karakter kompanija odražava raznovrsnost sigurnosnog spektra: videonadzora, kontrole pristupa, zaštite identiteta, integracijskih alata, fizičke zaštite, protivprovale, mrežnih rješenja, upravljanja voznim parkom, mehaničke zaštite, IT sigurnosti... Također, u jednoj mjeri će se adresirati i mnoga vertikalna tržišta, što je svakako prednost ako se ima u vidu struktura posjetilaca. Regionalni karakter Uz navedeno, ono što Adria Security Summit također u značajnoj mjeri izdvaja od ostalih poslovnih događaja na našem prostoru jeste njegov istinski regionalni karakter. On se ogleda u nekoliko aspekata. Prvi je sama organizacija, koju uz a&s Adria medij potpisuju vodeća regionalna strukovna udruženja: Hrvatski ceh zaštitara, Komora za privatno obezbjeđenje Republike Makedonije, rest of world an extremely comprehensive conference combined with the exhibition of the products and services offered by the leading companies on the market. So, the conference segment really brought together the top industry experts whose reputation has attracted the attention of everyone who knows something about this sector, while the exhibition segment has attracted those who want to work with the current leading regional and international companies. Suffi ce to say that the speakers are people who have been involved in the major projects in the world and the development of software and security solutions, CEOs or owners of companies with extensive experience in the industry and managers of the world s largest media platforms, while, among the companies, one can fi nd those which top the list of 50 most successful fi rms in the world or they are their largest regional representatives or distributors. Diversity in Unity Given the global trend of interconnecting several levels of security within a single platform, with the information technology acting as an integrative glue, Adria Security Summit focused specifically on lecture topics and business orientation of the companies in order to make them reflect the diversity of the security sector spectrum: video surveillance, access control, identity protection, integration tools, physical protection, intrusion detection, network solutions, fleet management, mechanical protection, IT security... This means that, no matter what field they come from, the visitors will be able to find something for themselves. Also, many vertical markets will be covered, which represents a definite advantage if one takes into account the structure of visitors. Regional Character In addition, what makes Adria Security Summit significantly different from other business events in our region is its truly regional character. It is reflected in several aspects. The first is the organization itself, which, alongside a&s Adria, is being handled by leading regional trade associations: Croatian Security Association, Chamber of Republic of Macedonia for Private Security, Serbian Association of Corporate Security Managers, Chamber for the Development of Slovenian Private Security and the BiH Association of Security Managers. 8

S namjerom da predstavnicima stranih kompanija predstavimo stanje u svakoj državi pojedinačno, predsjednici udruženja će govoriti o stanju i perspektivama na vlastitom tržištu, posebno se dotičući investicija koje će zahtijevati značajna ulaganja u sektor sigurnosti. Osim suorganizatora, sa nama su i regionalni prijatelji projekta: hrvatski Centar za poslovnu sigurnost i Hrvatska udruga menadžera sigurnosti, slovenski Institut za korporativne studije, Udruženje za privatno obezbjeđenje Privredne komore Srbije, te bosanskohercegovački Centar za sigurnosne studije i Vijeće za strane investicije. Uz to, regionalni karakter odražava i struktura predavača i izlagača, jer su sponzori vodeće kompanije iz svih zemalja regije. Na kraju, jako važno jeste i to da Adria Security Summit neće ostati u okvirima Bosne i Hercegovine na konferenciji će se birati sljedeća država u kojoj će se Summit održati godine. I tako ukrug dok se ne vratimo opet u ovaj olimpijski grad. Medijska pokrivenost Adria Security Summit jeste i prvi regionalni događaj ovoga tipa koji ima do sada najveću zabilježenu medijsku promociju. Osim navedenih partnera, koji imaju poseban značaj u ostvarenju ovog eventa, tu su i vodeći bosanskohercegovački elektronski mediji, koji će na svojim ekranima propratiti ovaj susret od društvenog značaja. A rezultat zajedničkog rada jeste najveća do sada zabilježena posjeta konferencijama iz oblasti fizičke, tehničke i mehaničke sigurnosti. Reakcije tržišta Imajući u vidu sve nabrojane značajke, s pravom se može reći da Adria Security Summit predstavlja jedinstven konferencijsko-izložbeni događaj u Jadranskoj regiji. Unikatan je po svom karakteru, strukturi, vrhunskom nivou organizacije, sadržaju, medijskoj pokrivenosti, najbrojnijoj do sada zabilježenoj posjeti i izvrsnim aktivnostima na otvorenom, tokom kojih će se učesnici upoznati sa pravim bogatstvom koji Bosna i Hercegovina posjeduje. To je na kraju i najvažnije da kolege sa kojima sarađujemo i koje prate naš rad, stručnjaci koji svakodnevno osjećaju puls tržišta, koji van medijske scene, iza kulisa, rade na tome da se cijelo društvo osjeća sigurnije u Adria Security Summitu prepoznaju važnu priliku za vlastitu nadogradnju, sklapanje partnerstava i razmjenu iskustava, po koju više neće morati ići van regiona. In addition to these partners that play a particularly important role in the organization of this event, the leading Bosnian-Herzegovinian electronic media will also cover this socially important gathering. The result of this joint effort is the highest ever recorded number of visitors to conferences in the field of physical, technical and mechanical security. Market Feedback Having in mind all of these characteristics, we can rightfully claim that Adria Security Summit is a unique conference and exhibition event in the Adriatic region. It is unique in its nature, structure, top quality organization, content, media coverage, highest recorded number of visitors and excellent outdoor activities which will introduce the participants to authentic riches of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Feedback from the security industry professionals we discussed the Summit with was all about praise, enthusiasm and support. This is, ultimately, the most important thing that the colleagues who we work with and who follow our work, i.e. the professionals who feel the pulse of the market on daily basis and who work to make entire society feel safer behind the scenes and outside of the media spotlight, recognize Adria Security Summit as an important opportunity for their own improvement, establishment of partnerships and exchange of experiences for which they no longer have to go outside the region. Epitet vodeće edukacijsko-informativne platforme u Jadranskoj regiji potvrđuje njegova originalna koncepcija i sadržaj, pripadnost vodećoj svjetskoj grupaciji sigurnosnih publikacija, čitalaštvo iz svih zemalja regije i vertikalnih tržišta, prepoznatnost vodećih kompanija i stručnjaka iz branše te nedavno objavljeno jubilarno 100. izdanje. Magazin promovira sigurnost kroz stručna znanja i vještine, praktična rješenja i proizvode, te primjere iz prakse. Do sada je svoje stručno mišljenje izrazilo oko 400 saradnika iz cijelog regiona, među kojima su mnoga eminentna domaća i inostrana imena iz sigurnosne industrije. A novinarske, lektorske, dizajnerske, upravljačke, administrativne i marketinške poslove u magazinu u proteklom je periodu obavljalo blizu četrdeset osoba. Važan dio našeg poslovanja čini i promocija regionalnih fi rmi, preduzetnika i stručnjaka u sigurnosnoj industriji, čime nastojimo svijetu predstaviti naše tržište i time otvoriti priliku za investicije i transfer znanja. U svrhu podsticanja na prijeko potrebnu edukaciju, naša redakcija svake godine organizira posjete nekima od najznačajnijih svjetskih sajmova sigurnosti kao što su IFSEC, Secutech, Security Essen, ISAF ili Sicurezza, a onima koji nisu u mogućnosti da nam se pridruže na ovim putovanjima omogućimo opširan tekstualni i multimedijalni izvještaj. Uz to, konstantno smo prisutni na gotovo svim regionalnim poslovnim događajima iz ove oblasti, pri čemu smo u svojstvu organizatora, suorganizatora ili medijskog pokrovitelja uzeli učešće na više od 500 poslovnih susreta u proteklih 10 godina. Dio velike porodice Inače, izdavač magazina je bh. fi rma Global Security, koja je sa radom počela godine. Its status as the leading educational and informative platform in the Adriatic region is confirmed by its original concept and content, its being the part of the world s leading group for security-related publications, with readership from all countries of the region and vertical markets and recognition by leading companies and experts in the industry, as well as by its recently published 100th issue. The magazine promotes security through expertise and skills, practical solutions and products and examples from the practice. Mission of Promoting Knowledge and Profession In 2014, the magazine marked its 10th year in business and published its 100th issue, which clearly reflects the success of the idea itself and the market s need for the publication based on this concept. There are a number of TV stations, websites and publications in the region, yet they offer virtually no time and attention even to the basic needs of the security industry and practice, except when an incident occurs. Being deeply aware of that fact, we decided to take up such a mission ourselves. We have provided space for the professionals in the field of security who use texts, interviews, columns and reviews to tackle topics related to security and protection which are of extreme importance for the community as a whole. So far, more than 400 contributors from the entire region have voiced their professional opinions, including many renowned domestic and international insiders from the security industry. In the previous period, duties related to reporting, editing, design, management, administration and marketing at the magazine have been performed by around forty persons. 16 Regional Professional Associations Partners of Adria Security Summit Croatian Security Association (HCZ) Croatian Security Association has operated in Croatia for more than twenty years as the professional association whose primary objective is bringing together and coordinating activities and professional interests of security-related companies and individuals. The Association promotes, represents, and protects common interest of its members before the government and other authorities in the country and abroad. In this context, it organizes seminars, presentations and conferences as well as provides recommendations for the security industry. The Association also conducts researches into private security market in Croatia on annual basis, which serve to identify all problems faced by the market and offer solutions. The Association gathers companies in the field of physical security, banking and cash-in-transit security, designers, internal security services and private detectives. Chamber of Republic of Macedonia for Private Security This umbrella Macedonian institution in charge of private security in the country was established in The main objectives of the Chamber are protection, promotion and advancement of expertise, professionalism and general activities for the benefit of this profession. The Chamber is authorized to carry out licensing and training of persons and legal entities working in the field of private security, and issue permits to engage in this activity as well as check the work of armed personnel at least on annual basis. The Chamber provides assistance to all legal entities in the sector and represents their interests, but it also advocates for the companies in the private security business to channel their needs through its activities. It is active throughout the Republic of Macedonia in order to ensure that the protection of people and property has been really successful. Chamber for the Development of Slovenian Private Security The largest association for the development of private security in Slovenia brings together all legal persons in the private security industry and the sector involving protection of persons and property. The association was awarded the status of the chamber in 2011 as it represents the interests of all professional associations in the field of private security in Slovenia and, at the same time, acts as a public administrative authority that makes proposals for the drafting of the content of professional standards, determines national vocational qualifications, prepares training programs and vocational training, proposes the content of standards in the private security sector and licenses, etc. The Chamber has also been involved with provision of technical assistance for licensing, representing the interests of its members before state authorities, organization of seminars and conferences and conducting researches into the state of the private security market in Slovenia. Serbian Association of Corporate Security Managers (SAMKB) The association of corporate security managers in the Republic of Serbia was established as an non-profit, expert and non-partisan organization of professionals whose main business activity involves industrial and corporate security and safety risk management. SAMKB was founded in Belgrade in 2011 and it brings together experts from all areas of corporate security in order to improve, develop and popularize this profession, as well as strengthen professional and corporate standards. One of the goals of the Association is the integration of Serbian science and practice in the field of security into the European and global trends. It deals with strategic issues related to security and development of security culture through educational programs, seminars and expert lectures. Institut za korporativne sigurnosne studije (ICS) ICS je slovensko udruženje koje se bavi korporativnom sigurnošću na naučnom i praktičnom planu. Misija ICS-a ogleda se u razvoju i širenju novih znanja i iskustava, te promovisanju interesa u području korporativne sigurnosti, dok su strateški ciljevi usmjereni ka promociji razvoja sveobuhvatnih sigurnosnih sistema u korporativnom okruženju, što direktno utječe na upravljanje rizicima u poslovanju te razvoj ekonomske i nacionalne sigurnosti. U okviru ICS-a egzistira i Centar za informacijsku sigurnost (CIS), a Institut izdaje i vlastiti stručni magazin pod nazivom Korporativna sigurnost. Udruženje za privatno obezbeđenje PKS-a Udruženje za privatno obezbeđenje egzistira pri Privrednoj komori Republike Srbije. 20 Regional Professional Associations Friends of Adria Security Summit Center for Business Security (CPS) CPS is Croatian independent non-profit organization that brings together experts and scientists in the field of security and protection. The branches of CPS are: business security, private security, security management, crime, crisis management, protection of critical infrastructure, IT security and protection of intellectual property. CPS is involved in research, promotion of knowledge, experience and information in the field of security, implementation of projects, programs and professional conferences, as well as publishing and cooperation with other partner organizations. The association is headquartered in Zagreb. Centre for Security Studies BiH (CSS) CSS was founded in 2001 with headquarters in Sarajevo. The association is primarily engaged in independent research and education, and it is dedicated to raising awareness about security issues and promotion and preservation of democratic structures and processes in foreign and security policy in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region of Southeast Europe. The Centre is involved in gathering of knowledge and the establishment of policy, management and the capacity to strengthen solutions to the problems caused by security issues in the post-war Bosnia. Croatian Association of Security Managers (HUMS) The association was founded in 2007 in Zagreb. HUMS is a voluntary professional organization whose program philosophy is determined by its independent, non-partisan and non-governmental character as well as non-profit business and professional solidarity. Its main objectives are establishment of cooperation with all relevant stakeholders in order to improve and achieve comprehensive security at community level, promotion of all elements of security culture and improvement of occupational status of security managers. Each year, the association organizes Croatian Security Days during which the Croatian Security Award is presented. Institute for Corporate Security Studies (ICS) ICS is a Slovenian association dealing with corporate security at scientific and practical level. ICS s mission is reflected in the development and dissemination of new knowledge and experiences and promotion of interests in the field of corporate security, while its strategic objectives are aimed at promoting the development of comprehensive security systems in a corporate environment, which directly affects corporate risk management and development of economic and national security. The ICS is also a home to the Center for Information Security (CIS) and it issues its own professional magazine Corporate Security. Association of Private Security within Serbian Chamber of Commerce Association of Private Security operates within Serbian Chamber of Commerce. Its activities cover areas such as private security, security system services, investigative activities and private investigator services. The association represents the common interest of all stakeholders in the field of private security and private investigators in Serbia and beyond, and it participates in the doctrinal and normative regulation of these activities as well as initiates adoption, amending and harmonization of regulations and promotes the industry. The association consists of four groups: physical and technical security, self-protection and detective activities. Foreign Investors Council (FIC) Foreign Investors Council is a non-profit association that represents the interests of foreign companies in BiH. It was founded in 2006 with the aim of improving investment and business environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina by establishing cooperation between the FIC and the authorities and providing practical support to all investors. The FIC also uses its activities to expand business and disseminate business information, submit recommendations regarding draft laws and other regulations or regulatory documents, organize meetings, symposia, seminars and courses and work closely with international organizations with similar goals and activities. 20

After the graduation at the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana, he completed internship at the District Court and the High Court of Ljubljana, and passed the bar exam. For 31 years, he performed various duties within the police. Inter alia, he served as a Ljubljana police station s commander, worked on the project of establishing Slovenian Operations and Communications Centre and was its fi rst chief. From 1995 till 2007, Slak worked as director of the Police Department of Ljubljana and of the Police Academy. Duško Vejnović je redovni profesor na Visokoj školi unutrašnjih poslova u Banjoj Luci te četiri fakulteta Univerziteta u Banjoj Luci. Završio je Fakultet političkih nauka u Zagrebu 1985., a tri godine poslije na istom fakultetu stiče zvanje magistra političkih nauka iz područja općenarodne odbrane. Doktorira godine na Filozofskom fakultetu Univerziteta u Banjoj Luci. Predsjednik je Evropskog defendologija centra u Banjoj Luci i obavlja ulogu glavnog urednika časopisa Defendologija. Duško Vejnović Duško Vejnović is a professor at the High College of Internal Affairs in Banja Luka and four Faculties of the University of Banja Luka. He graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Zagreb in Three years later he was awarded the title of Master of Political Science in the fi eld of national defense at the same Faculty. He obtained his PhD degree at the Faculty of Philosophy in Banja Luka in Vejnović has been the President of the European Defendology Center in Banja Luka, and works as the editor-in-chief of the magazine Defendologija. 28 Drugi dan Summita Neponovljiva avantura ispričana jezikom prirode Drugog dana Adria Security Summita učesnike očekuje uživanje u nadaleko poznatim prirodnim ljepotama Bosne i Hercegovine u okolini Konjica, sat vožnje udaljenog od mjesta održavanja konferencije. Raftingom na rijeci Neretvi, odmorom uz Boračko jezero i obilaskom tzv. The Heart of Herzegovina The Neretva River is 225 km long, fl owing through Bosnia and Herzegovina for the most of its course (203 km) and, to a lesser extent, through Croatia (22 km). Together with its tributaries it creates a separate natural area and unique ecological system in this part of the world. On its way to the Adriatic Sea, the Neretva fl ows through some of the most beautiful cities in Bosnia. It is known for its emerald-green color as well as clarity and potability in its upper course. It is a natural glacial lake of 786 m in length and 402 m in width, whose water is naturally changed in its entirety in 54-day intervals. It is located on the north-eastern foot of the mountain Prenj at an altitude of 397 m. The lake is elliptical and it is deepest in its narrow southeastern part, with the depth of about 17 m. Eco-village is located close to the lake and it occupies 35,000 square meters of developed land which is fully adapted to the natural beauty of Boračko Lake. Riječ je o prirodnom ledničkom jezeru, dužine 786 m, a širine 402 m, u kojem se na prirodan način sva voda promijeni za 54 dana. Leži na sjeveroistočnom podnožju planine Prenj, na nadmorskoj visini 397 m. Eliptičnog je oblika, a najdublje je u jugoistočnom užem dijelu, gdje dubina iznosi oko 17 m. Uz samo jezero je i ekoselo, koje raspolaže sa m² uređene površine, u potpunosti prilagođene ljepotama prirode na Boračkom jezeru. Ekoselo je zamišljeno kao objekat poluzatvorenog tipa sa sportsko-rekreativnom ponudom. Posjeta ovom području odlična je prilika za lagani odmor uz obale jezera i kupanje u njegovim vodama. Projekat obavijen velom tajne Završetkom raftinga i obilaska Boračkog jezera nije nastupio i kraj dana na Neretvi, jer ćete u lijepom i ugodnom ambijentu, na terasi uz samu rijeku, biti ugošćeni ljubaznošću i toplim gostoprimstvom vaših domaćina, raznovrsnom i ukusnom tradicionalnom kuhinjom i nadaleko čuvenim jablaničkim janjećim pečenjem. Zlatar Mountain has for decades kept the largest national military secret and the third most important one in the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Thirty-six years ago an atomic bunker was built in this natural environment, a building known as the D-0 ARK, designed as the main command post of the former Yugoslav People s Army. The complex was built for 26 years ( ) and its cost is $ 4.6 billion. The bunker occupies a total of 6854 m². In case of a nuclear strike it was designed to accommodate 350 members of the highest military and political leadership of the former Yugoslavia.
