1 UNIDO CLARIFICATIONS no. 1 INVITATION TO BID (ITB) No SUPPLY OF STANDARDIZED COLOUR CODED BINS AND MOBILE WASTE COLLECTION TROLLEYS FOR SEGREGATED COLLECTION OF BIO-MEDICAL WASTES FOR THE PROJECT Questions 1. You has mentioned the dia of bins as 18 inches & capacity 30 Ltrs. - Dia of bins should be 14 inches otherwise the capacity would be 60 Ltrs. instead of 30 Ltrs. Please clarify. 2. Please advise how the stainless steel bins will be coloured. We can paint these or put printed coloured stickers around the bins like Red, Yellow Blue. Please advise. 3. You have mentioned the thickness of the Lid as 1.2 to 1.6mm and thickness of bin as 0.8mm to 1.2mm - Technically the thickness/weight of the lid should be little lesser then bin so it can be easily operated with foot and can easily open and close. If it is heavy then you have to applied more force for opening the lid. Please advise. 4. You have not mentioned the size of the frame. Hence, please advise whether you want single frame for each bin or combined frame for three colours Red, Yellow and Blue. 5. We would be grateful to you if you could kindly advise us the representative image of coloured bins with frame for our reference. Answers Yes, 30 litre bin shoud have dia of 14 inches and 60 litre bin of 18 inches. The specification are rectified accordingly. The specified Lid thickness is correct as Lid is to be welded/fitted with the frame and not to the bin and will always subject to torsional movements through foot pedal. Frame size should be according to the bin fitting i.e. different for single bin frame or doule bin frame. Yellow & Red bin should be in double bin frame & remaining 3 colors i.e white blue and green should be in single frame.
