The camp will provide an outdoor education program experience from June 1 through 3. The Elger Bay PTA pays for the cost of the camp using funds raised for this purpose. The attached memo from Elger Bay principal, Victor Hanzeli provides additional information about the contract and activity. We recommend the board move to awrove the YMCA of Greater Seattle - Group Use Agreement allowing Elger Bav Elementary School students to use Camp Orkila for outdoor education uurposes.

Elger Bay Elementary 5th grade students, staff, and several parents attend YMCA Camp Orkila each year. This year we are scheduled to attend camp June 1st- 3rd. The bill for attendance, stipends, transportation, and other miscellaneous costs is approximately $11,900. The final bill will likely be a bit lower some students may not attend. The bill is paid through a combination of resources that include PTA fund raising and per attendee charges. A copy of the actual contract for the Camp Orkila charges is provided for your review. 5 Food Service Information: Your number of tables is determined by dividing your total group number by 12 and rounding up. Please plan to sit 12 to a table. This number may or may not coordinate with your cabin numbers. Please be prepared to form separate meal groups if needed. Thank your for helping us control our food costs. We do not serve tree nuts or peanuts at YMCA Camp Orkila! Please do not bring snacks with nuts. We also continue to offer vegetarian options with every meal. Please inform us about any other dietary needs for your students: Approximate number of vegetarians: For other dietary restrictions, please have parents complete a dietary restriction form.
