3 LETTER FROM THE CAMP DIRECTOR Dear Scoutmasters, Welcome to the Camp V-bar Winter Camp program. Winter Camp primarily focuses on Eagle required and classroom style Merit Badges many held indoors. This year, we are including six Merit Badges from the list of Eagle required, and ten Merit Badges that have not been offered in recent years. And of course, there are the perennial favorites, such as the full complement of Shooting Sports. We are continuing the High Adventure program, re-introduced at Thanksgiving Camp. Designed for Venturers and older Scouts, participants will spend the week in the back country of camp, using Scout skills, and having a one-of-a-kind experience see details on page 9. Salmen Scout Reservation is constantly evolving to better serve you. Some of the changes for 2018 have included: High Adventure Program for Venturers and older Scouts GaGa Ball Pit (Courtesy of Wood Badge S ) Mountain Bike for rent (personal bikes welcome) New Campsite (Tunica) New Latrines (Sioux, Tunica, Chickasaw) Gumbo Troops And we are continuing our Gumbo Troop program!
