Please check on EuroMayenne's Calendar Forthcoming Session September 12 CHANGE OF VENUE FOR THIS MEETING ONLY This meeting will be held at 14:00 at the home of Pam Britton & Dave Ebbage in Charchigné. October 10 November 14 December 12 January 9 February 13 March 13 April 10 May 15 June 12 WALKING GROUP Organiser: Lynn CHESTERS - We meet at about 09:50 and set off at 10 o clock promptly. We walk for 6-8 km, ending back at the start point about midday. Then we often have lunch in a modest restaurant the type which offers an 11 menu for three courses including wine. If you do stay for the meal you will find it most convivial; if your partner couldn t do the walk, then - space in the restaurant permitting they will be most welcome to join us for the lunch, payable direct to the restaurant at the time. All the walks are within the Mayenne department and take place once a month on a Wednesday. Details of where to meet are given with the date in the monthly What s On listing. We walk whatever the weather! The only cost is the meal if you decide to add that to your exercise, payable direct to the restaurant at the time. Wear suitable clothing; walking boots are useful as the footpaths can often be very muddy. Please let Lynn know if you like to join a walk at least 2 days in advance, and 7 days in advance if you would like to join us for the lunch. 6 NEW! - BELOTE GROUP Organiser: Liz MALLINSON or mallinsoncande@gmail.com After our introduction to the game in Laval in February, many members expressed an interest in playing again, probably regularly. There were others who wanted to play on that evening but couldn t attend. So we are starting the year with the hope that a group can be formed that will learn (or improve) how to play this typically French popular card game. It will encourage you to read more books and books that you might not normally choose. The reasons that people give for joining a reading group include reading a wide variety of books, making friends, having fun, meeting like-minded people and stimulating the brain cells.
