2 June 29, Great Little Campground!!! "We've thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Unfortunately, we have to check out tomorrow! This is a nice, smaller campground that is well maintained. Staff are really friendly and accommodating and willing to bend over backwards for us. Nice, well maintained swimming area, playground for kids with Arcade. Perfect distance away from all the attractions and close enough to get there within 7-10 min. Bathrooms are well cared for and clean! Quiet at night and no rowdy campers. Railroad tracks on one side of campground with road in the other. Neither were a problem for us. I think it is a nice campground at a reasonable price and never once felt nickel and dimed like so many others out there. Thanks Anvil, we'll be back! June 28, Tammy W. D. Half stayed at campground and half went to water country on Saturday and then Sunday we all went to Busch Gardens. It is close enough we were able to drive back and have lunch at the campground and then went back to park! Had a great time while there and if ever in the area again I would love to stay there again.

13 June 14, Joe K. "Just took vacation to the Williamsburg area. I'll start by saying my wife is not a camper. Her idea of roughing it is a holiday inn. I talked her into staying here in one of their cabins. I told her if she had any issues when we got there that we would leave and get a hotel. Luckily that was not necessary. This is the nicest campground I have ever stayed at and I do a fair amount of camping around where we live. Their bathrooms are immaculate and I'm positive that's what sold my wife. I was so impressed with every aspect of this campground. The store is well stocked. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. And if you have a fur baby they are very accommodating. The only place you can't have them is in the cabins. I assume because they are brand new (less than two months old). May 31, Memorial Day Weekend Camping Trip! "We did our first camping trip with our new RV at Anvil Campground over the Memorial Day weekend. This was the first time we ever stayed at a camping center so as a novice RV camper I didn't know what to expect. Megan at checkin was very helpful and informative. When I plugged in my unit wasn't receiving power and Raymond showed me where the circuit breaker was on the service input. Then I was having a problem with my refrigerator and asked Raymond for help. He googled on his phone to find a resolution. A big help to me. The overall camping experience was great and that was due to Anvil and their great atmosphere. The bathrooms were like ones you would find in a fancy hotel... I would definitely recommend Anvil if you are looking for a first rate campsite. All the help was great to work with." They couldn't be more helpful even sending John to help us "park" our rig. We were there when they were celebrating their 63rd anniversary. They shared their celebration with everyone with ice cream on Friday night and a great barbecue with all the fixings the next day. Every site has a fire pit and picnic table which was nice to have. We didn't use their pool because of the cool weather. The playground looked like a fun place. We thought our grandkids would have loved playing in. The bathrooms are brand new and kept immaculate. Being close to all the historic sites in Williamsburg was a plus for us. We will definitely return to Anvil Campground when we are up in VA. You won't be disappointed if you stay at Anvil... They've been in business for three generations so they must be doing something right! Thank you to the Jump family." They threw themselves an anniversary party while I was there with great free BBQ. The staff made it a point to speak to you every time they saw you. Best staff anywhere. Laundry cost was a little high. It's also no more than 10 minutes from Williamsburg. Oh, and they have two small doggie play yards. "First drove up to this campground after an 11 hour drive from Georgia and thought no way I am use to large sites with lots of trees. We checked in and all the people were overly friendly and helpful. We got to our site which was very clean and level... I just ran my air all night and slept like a baby. We absolutely loved it. Very pretty grounds and kept nicely. We just happened to be there during their 63 anniversary and they fed the entire campground a bar b que dinner and had an ice cream social.
