It was perfect for us and it was significantly less expensive than the KOA. It is sandwiched between a highway and a railroad track, but my husband and I love trains so it was a plus for us. We travel with dogs and there was a nice area to walk them in front of the campground. The staff were very friendly and helpful and go out of their way to be sure all guests are comfortable. They are wonderful to work with. You cannot get a more central location to everything in the Williamsburg area. The staff made sure we weren't going to go hungry on the holiday, letting us know what was going to be open and even offering to call and make reservations for us. We are down there to see colonial Williamsburg, the Jamestown Settlement and Busch Gardens, and Anvil is no more than 15 minutes from any of them." I say this because it's close to the historic triangle ( Williamsburg, Jamestown, &

6 Yorktown) It's super clean and the person that ran the office was extremely pleasant and helpful... it included Full hookups, super fast wifi and cable tv. They're also on the bus line if you prefer not to drive. And the Aleworks brewery is less than a mile away! There is a train that runs right behind the park, but it didn't bother us at all. Other than feeling it rumble through every once in awhile, I didn't even notice it was there. If we are ever back in the area, this would be the only place I would choose to stay!" My husband loved the power pedestal-very unique and lit up. Wide roads made the campground easy to get in and out. Sites were not as close together as some we have experienced at Myrtle Beach. Makes it easy to see Williamsburg. The campground is on the city bus line. You change buses one time and arrive at the Williamsburg Visitors Center. A very short walk down the hill and you catch the Willliamsburg shuttle to any place in Colonial Williamsburg. I didn't have to move my motorhome for a week! Yes, the train tracks are close by. Bring a white noise device if train noise bothers you. I kind of liked it. The sites are very small but the campground is clean and safe. Very nice staff. Will stay there again." The shuttle service is the area transit bus, which we used for the four days we were here. The sites are not large but were sufficient. The WIFI worked great. Manager was super at check-in and always friendly. We needed to leave a night early due to a family emergency and he issued a refund for that night with no problem. Like others have said, there are train tracks very close to camping but they never woke us at night so it was not an issue. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome."
