I, personally, was working at Volvo in Rockleigh, NJ, filling in for the president s secretary who was on vacation. To hear of this horrific tragedy would be an understatement. The devastation, loss, pain, and fear of the unknown was just some of the feelings we may have felt. Who and why, could anyone commit such a horrible act. 17 years have passed but we still recall and mourn. Losing a loved one whether due to age or illness is devastating in and of itself; but to lose the lives of innocent human beings for no reason is another. I cannot even imagine what so many have experienced one in which I hope I never will. In memory of all the lives who were taken, Lest We Never Forget and may God Bless you!

3 From the desk of Arlene Rosa Summer is half over and we are working on our Fall trips. September 12 th is our trip to the Pines Theater to see The Marvelous Wonderettes. 5 HOW FUNNY AND HOW TRUE! ARE WE THERE YET? In the July 12 th issue of the Suburbanite, I came across the funniest and so true, comic that I just had to share with you. I m sure we all remember the infamous saying Are We There Yet?. On that note, there was a cartoon of a family driving which said SUMMER VACATION PAST and the child was in the back seat asking, Mom, are we there yet? The cartoon next to it was the same family but it stated SUMMER VACATION PRESENT. This time, it was the child in the back seat texting Mom, are we there yet? Boy how times have changed? SCHOOL BUS AIDE NEEDED The Northvale Public School is looking for a school bus aide. The hours are Monday through Friday 7:45 am 845 am then again at 2:30 pm 3:30 pm beginning September 2018 July The rate is $14.00 per hour. When the usher came by and noticed this, he whispered to the old man, Sorry sir, but you re only allowed one seat. The old man didn t budge. The usher became more impatient. Sir, if you don t get up from there, I m going to have to call the manager. Once again, the old man just muttered and did nothing. The usher marched briskly back up the aisle, and in a moment, he returned with the manager. Together the two of them tried repeatedly to move the old disheveled man, but with no success. Finally, they summoned the police. The officer surveyed the situation briefly then asked, All right buddy, what s your name? Fred, the old man moaned. Where are you from, Fred? asked the police officer. With a terrible strain in his voice, and without moving, Fred replied; The Balcony.
