PRESIDENTS NOTE! ********************** As you know our season is coming to an end and we start getting everything ready for next year. That is why it is important to get the ATV Raffle Tickets sold and back to us by Sept. 15 th 2012 because we need to know where we stand financially, so we can work on getting new trails and riding areas. Some people think because they ride illegal trails, that trail automatically becomes legal but it is not that easy, when so called members buy Razors and ride across private potato fields and brag about it. That s why it is so hard to advance on new trail systems! Thank you! Steve Cronk - President ATTENTION!!!!! TRAILS CLOSE ON SEPTEMBER 30 TH WORK DETAILS The clubs work details have been expanded to give all the opportunity to help out on the trails or whatever the current project may be. Work details will originate at

2 our club property on 1939 Cty. Rte. 22, Altmar. Below are listed the days and who you should contact if you would like to work. Tuesday Dave Gaffey Todd Pfluger pm Wednesday- Bob Eggerling AM John McGrew PM If you would like to volunteer for a work detail, call the leader for details about the work detail that you would like to work on. We need to work on all our trails! We need another trail boss. If you are interested please contact Brad Hilton ATV PATROL The ATV Patrol is set and will be out patrolling trails looking for violators such as speeders, aggressive riders, loud exhaust, And non-club members on the trails. Members need to follow all NYS Laws, and club rules at all times. You can contact Brad Hilton at or Steve Cronk at with any information of violators. ANY COMPLAINTS OR CONCERNS PLEASE BRING THEM TO OUR MONTHLY MEETING. ATV NIGHT AT FULTON SPEEDWAY WAS FUN WE HAD 28 MEMBERS PRESENT. THE OWNER CAME UP AND WELCOMED US! More News Our August meeting was held at Eddy s Place Thank you! Great Food! The for $55.50 was won by Robert Moore; Robert donated back to the club. Thanks Robert! There were approx. 40 people in attendance. Steve asked for a standing applause for Claudia our treasurer and Arlene our membership coordinator who do so much for the club! Thanks Gals. ************************ Raffle tickets for a 2012 Polaris Sportsman 500 Sponsored by Caprara Bros. Outdoor Toy Store. This is a Benefit Raffle for our club. We ask that each member take some tickets to sell, the drawing is Sept. 30 th at our club house. Call ask for Mike. Please WE ASK THAT YOU GET YOUR TICKETS IN BY SEPTEMBER 15 TH AT OUR NEXT MEETING! Well, if you didn t make our camp out you sure missed a week of good wholesome fun! WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK MARY GAFFEY FOR ALL HER HARD WORK AND GREAT IDEAS FOR OUR WEEK OF CAMPING. The scavenger hunt was a blast! Of course I won 2 nd prize, no applause necessary Ron and Joyce won first prize! The children enjoyed digging for quarters in the sand pile, face painting, crafts, piñata and balloon toss! Oh and the bear that came. Oh my!!!! The pig roast was delicious. Thanks Bert! We all pulled together and helped to set up things. Our free breakfast prepared and cooked by our very own accomplished Chef s Ed and Sye O Neil and Linda Leone was outstanding thanks to all that donated the food and helped. Ya know folks it s a lot of hard work to make things fun and enjoyable, there is no pay for the hard work that the volunteers put in, but the reward is watching the enjoyment that our club is having and knowing that they helped make it possible. So, as we 4 WHEEL down this month for the close of yet another great year, it s good to reflect on all the positive things that our club has accomplished for yet another season in our lives. MANY THANKS TO ALL WHO VOLUNTEERED IN ANY WAY! The board has been tossing around some new ideas for our club next year! Guess you will have to wait and find out next year. No fair asking!
