3 Interview with Keith Moller Vedder Resources Creston By: Ray Brown Ray: Thanks for taking the time Keith to speak with me, tell us, how and when did you get your start in trucking? Keith: I started in 1973 working for Oldham s Transport in Golden BC hauling plywood. From there I lived in 100 Mile for quite a while hauling logs. I switched gears and worked for Overwaitea for 15 years around BC. I went back to 100 Mile again hauling logs and gravel. I started hauling milk in 2014 and then came to work at Vedder in November Ray: So how has it been working at Vedder? Keith: This is a great job with great people, the equipment is top notch and the work is always there. Dispatch and the managers are always available if in need. Visiting and chatting with the dairy farmers is always good, it s fun to swap stories. Ray: What is different in trucking these days versus days gone by, good or bad? Keith: I think communication throughout has improved. Though our maintenance at Vedder is great, I am not sure it is like that industry wise. Traffic down at the coast has increased dramatically and the other drivers out there are not of the quality they should be on the mountain roads and winter maintenance is lacking some days. I do think technology is amazing in the new equipment these day, trucks can do things we never even thought of in Ray: How long have you lived in the Creston Valley? Keith: We moved here back in 2013 and love it here. The winters are mild and it s a relaxed way of life for us. Ray: What do you like to spend your time doing when not at work? Keith: During the summer months my wife Anna and I live out on the Moyie River near Creston, so it s like camping 6 months of the year. We enjoy quading and do a lot of fishing.

9 EVENTS CLUB JOIN THE HEALTH & WELLNESS EVENTS CLUB! The Health & Safety committee has a Health & Wellness Events Club and we would like you to join! The Club is set up and will be used to pay for exciting social events for all Vedder and Can Am West Employees and drivers alike. The fee is $8 a month which will go towards exciting events throughout the year that the club plans for a family of 4. Past events have been bowling, curling, movie passes for 4, PNE passes etc. If you choose not to join, you will still be able to participate in all the events; however a fee will be charged for each event. If at any time you decide you d like to join the club, please see Rachel Abbott to approve the payroll deduction.

10 Egg Breakfast Wrap 2 eggs 1 tbsp milk (2 percent) Salt /Pepper 2-4 Strips of turkey bacon (however bacony you want it) ½ avocado sliced ½ tomato sliced Grated reduced fat cheddar cheese Instructions: To make the egg tortilla, spray a small pan with cooking spray and heat to medium heat. In a small bowl, lightly beat the eggs milk and a pinch of salt and pepper. Slowly pour half the egg mixture (about ¼ cup) into the preheated pan. Cover and cook until the top looks set and slightly bubbles, about 1-3 minutes. Flip and cook an additional minute on the other side. Repeat with remaining egg, cover and set aside. Spray a large pan with cooking spray and head to med / high. Cook the bacon until golden brown and crispy. Transfer to paper towel and blot off any fat. To assemble: Place 1-2 slices of turkey bacon along the centre of each egg tortilla followed by the sliced tomatoes avocados and them as much grated cheese as your heart desires. Roll up and Enjoy!!
