14 14 Cairns Convention Centre at ATE 2014 Sample itineraries and conference programs 1 Association conference Day 1 Delegates fly into Cairns 4-day program International Airport and are transferred 1500 delegates to their 5-star CBD accommodation. Cairns After some free time exploring the city or strolling along the Esplanade boardwalk, they kick off the conference program with a Welcome Cocktail Function at the heritage-listed Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal with breathtaking views of the Trinity Inlet. Day 2 Following a scrumptious hotel breakfast, delegates walk the short distance to the Cairns Convention Centre for the first day of conferencing. In addition to award-winning facilities, they can expect world-class catering sourced from local suppliers and prepared with fresh tropical ingredients and homegrown produce. For this evening s Gala Dinner, a sit-down function at the Cairns Esplanade Eastern Events Lawn is sure to impress. Day 3 After an invigorating fitness class by the Cairns Lagoon, delegates head to the Cairns Convention Centre for the final day of conference sessions. To conclude the program, they are whisked away to a Farewell Dinner in Kuranda, where they can enjoy Army Duck tours, wildlife interactions and cultural performances from Aboriginal dancers. Day 4 Delegates still have time to sneak in a relaxing massage at one of the acclaimed hotel spas, a touch of shopping at luxury boutiques or a last look at the Great Barrier Reef on a scenic helicopter flight before departing.

15 15 2 Partner Programs Corporate meeting 4-day program 100 delegates Palm Cove Cooking class with a Master Chef Tour of the Tablelands Half day trip to Green Island or Fitzroy Island Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and Kuranda Scenic Railway Luxury styling workshop at Louis Vuitton Day 1 Delegates arrive at Cairns International Airport and board their exclusive shuttle to Palm Cove. Before checking into their luxurious seaside resort, an exciting Amazing Race team building activity allows them to explore the town and learn about their surroundings. This evening s Welcome Reception at a rooftop terrace lets them mingle with colleagues in a relaxed atmosphere, listening to live music, sipping on coconut cocktails and watching a perfect tropical sunset. Day 2 To begin the first day of meetings on the right foot, delegates can join a sunrise stand up paddleboard tour or a kayak excursion before heading to their conferencing venue. After a busy day, the Gala Dinner, set on absolute beachfront and styled to perfection, is the ideal opportunity for delegates to let their hair down, kick up their heels and dance the night away. Day 3 Beach yoga is the first item on the agenda today, where delegates get to relax and take in the chilled out vibe of the region before resuming a busy program of corporate meetings. Lunch is served with a twist during an interactive cooking class with a widely acclaimed chef, while tonight s dinner features traditional Indigenous activities at a cultural park and includes a mouth-watering menu sourced from local ingredients. Day 4 Delegates cannot leave the region without squeezing in a half day trip to the Great Barrier Reef or a glide above the rainforest canopy. There is plenty of time to experience either and still make it to the airport for their flight home! Cairns & Great Barrier Reef the natural place to meet

16 16 Sugar Wharf in Port Douglas Image: Andrew Watson Sample itineraries and conference programs 3 Incentive program 4-day program 200 delegates Port Douglas Day 1 After flying into Cairns International Airport, delegates begin their journey to Port Douglas with a stopover at a local wildlife park, where they can interact with the resident animals, pole-feed crocodiles and take a photo with a koala. In the evening, they kick off an exciting program of activites with a Welcome Function at the iconic Sugar Wharf while watching the sun set behing the Daintree Mountains. Day 2 Today, delegates are taken on a full day excursion to the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef. Snorkelling or diving from an idyllic coral cay, a pontoon in the middle of the ocean or straight off a boat are only a few of the experiences available. Alternatively, a helmet dive or a scenic helicopter flight offer additional options for delegates who prefer to keep their hair dry. After a busy day discovering marine wonders, tonight s dinner in a secret rainforest location provides a wow factor delegates will not soon forget and is the perfect end to a day of exploring and adventuring. Day 3 This morning, delegates immerse themselves in the magic and ancient secrets of the rainforest by participating in a Dreamtime Walk at the Mossman Gorge, before heading north to the Daintree, the world s oldest rainforest, for an afternoon of team building activities. For dinner, delegates can choose from a range of 5-star Port Douglas restaurants, from waterfront venues to gourmet establishments headed by Michelin Star-trained chefs. Day 4 There is still time to tee off at one of the resorts world-class golf courses or browse the luxurious boutiques, trendy cafés and funky art galleries on Macrossan Street before heading home. To conclude a stellar incentive, delegates can take in the stunning views of the Coral Sea during the scenic coastal drive back to the airport.

17 17 4 High achievers retreat 4-day program 40 delegates Lizard Island Day 1 Upon arrival at Cairns International Airport, delegates board their private connection to Lizard Island. Flying at low altitude over the Great Barrier Reef, they are treated to stunning views of the reef during the one-hour scenic flight. After an afternoon spent exploring the surroundings at leisure, this evening s Welcome Cocktail is held poolside, ideal for casual mingling and setting the tone for a relaxing few days ahead. Day 2 After watching the sunrise from one of the resort s exclusive suites and enjoying a casual seaside breakfast in the Saltwater Restaurant, delegates can choose between a range of small group activities such as inner or outer reef snorkeling, scuba diving at the world-famous Cod Hole, glass-bottom boat rides, big game fishing or simply unwinding on one of the island s 24 powdery white beaches. Tonight s dinner takes place at Anchor Bay Beach, providing delegates with a barefoot dining experience allowing them to chill out after the day s activities. Day 3 This morning, delegates start the day with a guided nature walk through the island s 1000 hectares of National Park, followed by a picnic hamper lunch on a secluded beach. Delegates are then whisked off to Essentia Spa, where they can select from a wide range of rejuvenating or invigorating treatments to ease their muscles after the morning s activities. To conclude the exclusive incentive program, an optional sunset cruise is followed by dinner at Marlin Bar, providing delegates with an authentic tropical island experience. Day 4 Sadly, the retreat must come to an end, but not before delegates are given a few hours of leisure time to soak up the magic of the island and bask in the sunshine. It is then off to their exclusive scenic flight back to Cairns, where they can marvel at the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef one last time and look back on the memories made over the last few days. Imagine a mosaic of foods as diverse as the cultures they came from. Cured meats hang from high ceilings adjacent to strings of garlic and chilli, while fresh local king prawns and sand crabs sit chilled and an array of exotic dishes, wood-fired pizzas and mouth-watering rotisserie cooked meats tempt the tastebuds. Regardless of where you start or finish, Bazaar provides a vast array of delicacies, with each and every dish accompanied by a passionate chef eager to explain the intricacies of their creations.
