2 Ashwood Chadstone Gateway, VIC Cooke and Dowsett was founded in 1992 by Scott Dowsett and subsequently restructured in 2008 with new director and owner Chadd Cooke coming on board. The result is a combined 40 years of plumbing expertise and industry knowledge. The company specialises in commercial plumbing, design and construct, project management and all plumbing services. Our clients include many of the tier-one contractors throughout Australia whilst maintaining close and long term relationships with multiple mid-tier contractors. Since its inception Cooke and Dowsett has completed numerous prestigious and innovative projects both on the East and West Coast of Australia. They range from Crown Towers in Melbourne, Hindmarsh Square in Adelaide to Barrow Island in the remote North West. Building on our dedication to the delivery of quality plumbing services, we have experienced continuous growth and now have offices in most Australian states. Our portfolio includes major hospitals, apartment complexes, mine camps, shopping centres, major hotels, prisons, desalination plants and commercial developments. Cooke and Dowsett s national operation is managed from its head office in Melbourne. Cooke and Dowsett holds part ownership in NUDJ plumbing, a not for profit organisation based in Broome. NUDJ is committed to the training and development of Indigenous youth. Numerous Indigenous apprentices have been trained at Cooke and Dowsett and have returned to the Pilbara region to improve sanitation, water supply and the mentoring of Aboriginal youth. COOKE & DOWSETT (ALBURY) Cooke and Dowsett (Albury) Pty Ltd was established in July 2011 when Cooke & Dowsett joined forces with, Commercial Industrial & Civil Cooke & Dowsett Directors Chadd Cooke & Scott Dowsett Plumbing (CICP). Based in Albury NSW, CIC was a large benchmark commercial plumbing contractor that serviced both regional Victoria and New South Wales undertaking the majority of large signature projects throughout the region. Along with Scott and Chadd, CIC local director, Ian Avage, believed the synergies created by the partnership made for substantial benefits within the region, as both companies were strong leaders in commercial plumbing. This meeting of the minds and subsequent launch of Cooke & Dowsett (Albury) has proven successful in expanding the Cooke & Dowsett brand on a national level.

This international standard promotes the adoption of a process approach when developing, implementing and improving the effectiveness of a quality management system, to enhance customer satisfaction by meeting customer requirements. For an organisation to function effectively, it has to determine and manage numerous linked activities. 10 CLOISTERS ON HAY LOCATION: PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA Builder: Probuild Client: Anglican Diocese The redevelopment of Cloisters Arcade included the upgrade of more than 2000sqm of retail space and and the office building above Cloisters Arcade, transforming the unique heritage landmark in Perth s CBD into a 10-storey retail and office tower. The Cloisters, an historical building built in 1858 and positioned in front of Cloisters Arcade on St Georges Terrace, remained untouched throughout the development. The heritagelisted Port Jackson fig tree fronting the Terrace was also protected. The completed Cloisters on Hay project was named WA s Best Project for 2015 at the annual Master Builders Association of Western Australia (MBAWA) Excellence in Construction Awards. QUEST TULLAMARINE LOCATION: TULLAMARINE, VICTORIA Builder: Merkon Constructions Client: Quest Serviced Apartments Quest Tullamarine services the growing demand for accommodation at Melbourne airport. Located in the airport s business park precinct, the hotel provides 97 serviced apartment rooms, for people involved in airport/aviation related business and training, not to mention the general public who may be after somewhere to rest in between connecting or delayed flights. Melbourne Airport Chief, Chris Woodruff said that providing more accommodation choice for people who are doing business at the airport, or are undertaking aviation training in the airport precinct, will support the future growth of airport and aviation related businesses in our local region. 11 BENDIGO HOSPITAL LOCATION: BENDIGO, VICTORIA Builder: Lend Lease Client: Bendigo Health The new $630 million Bendigo Hospital contract secures the delivery of integrated medical services to the people of Bendigo and the wider region. The project will result in Victoria s largest regional hospital, a state-of-the-art facility, providing high quality healthcare for the greater Bendigo community. It will generate more than 770 construction industry and supply chain jobs, with at least 300 jobs maintained for a minimum of three years during the peak construction period for the hospital. The new hospital will have 372 beds and 10 operating theatres, an integrated cancer centre and mental health unit and a helipad connected by bridge link to the main hospital. It will provide 75 mental health beds, including a 35 bed adult psychiatric unit, a 20 bed aged psychiatric unit, and a 20 bed secure extended care unit. The new hospital will also feature a five-bed mother and baby unit. QANTAS ENGINEERING FACILITY LOCATION: DARWIN, NORTHERN TERRITORY Builder: H. Troon Client: Qantas The QANTAS Engineering Facility was designed and constructed to achieve a fit for service aircraft maintenance facility. The facility is a 1200msq office and maintenance facility. The offices were designed and constructed to meet Class B requirements and all maintenance and storage areas were designed and constructed based on a high-end technical maintenance facility. During design and construction, on-going maintenance requirements and facility longevity were taken into consideration. As the facility was located in a secured zone at the Darwin International Airport and also in close proximity to the runway, careful consideration was given to the construction of the project and the logistics involved in its completion.
