These seminars are held once a year for Corporate members who have previously attended a Parliamentary Seminar. 16 Corporate representatives came to Parliament to learn more about the Select Committee process and during the day learnt about the work of Select Committees and where they fit into the legislative process. They attended a meeting of the Social Services Select Committee, and also gained a better understanding of the importance of writing and presenting a good submission. The panel discussion on Select Committee matters with Members of Parliament was very well received. The feedback was excellent and we look forward to the Select Committee Seminar being a permanent fixture on the Trust s programme.
