Carnival Cruise Lines was given the opportunity to become involved with Make-A-Wish through Will Carter (pictured left), a nine-year-old boy from Raleigh, N.C. who was diagnosed with leukemia. Will is a lively young boy who enjoys being outside and spending time with his family, which led him to choose a Carnival cruise as his ideal wish. 2

4 Press Release FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Media Contacts: May 8, 2014 Molly McCall, (305) Carnival Makes Dreams a Reality Carnival Cruise Lines partners with Make-A-Wish foundation to grant wishes (MIAMI, FLA) Carnival Cruise Lines announced its upcoming partnership with the Make-A- Wish Foundation. Carnival granted 9-year-old William Carter of Raleigh, N.C. his wish to go on a five-day cruise to the Bahamas with his parents, Rob and Sally, and his 6-year-old sister, Chloe. The family-oriented cruise line will match contributions made by customers on the Carnival Liberty, which departs with the Carter family onboard from Port Canaveral in Orlando, Fla. on June 6. Will was diagnosed with leukemia and his wish was to go on a cruise with his family. Carnival was contacted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation and wanted to do more. I was so moved by Will s story, Carnival Port Canaveral CEO John E. Walsh said. I knew there was more that we could do. There are so many deserving children and families, such as the Carter s, whose wishes we d like to grant. Make-A-Wish Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to granting wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions.
