It is endeavour of the department to articulate the newsletter with various information's to acquaint its readers with the achievements of the ECE fraternity. The laudable exercise of the students and staff of this department has already brought laurels in various corners of this institution. I applaud the staff and students for this achievement and wish that everyone continue their untiring efforts not only to retain this achievement but to grow to further high standards. The major strength of the department is the amalgamation of our qualified and dedicated faculty who understand the rhythm of the students for their academic excellence. Our under graduate and post graduate program students are equally showing their enthusiasm towards extracurricular and co-curricular activities contemplate them towards placement and higher education. EVENTS A Ninth National Level Technical Symposium STRIDES E-JIVE 2K16 was inaugurated by the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering on at PRAGATI ENGINEERING COLLEGE The Programme was inaugurated by the Chief guest Dr.S.Srinivasa Kumar, Director, R&D JNTUK, Kakinada. Dr.S.Srinivasa Kumar lighted the inaugural jyothi and also spoke a few words on the occasion. Sri.V.Prashanth convener of STRIDES2K16, HOD of ECE gave a warm welcome to the chief guest Dr.S.Srinivaskumar, Dr.P.Krishna Rao, Chairman of the college, Principal, Vice President, Directors, Head of Departments, Staff, Participants and students to grace the inauguration. Dr. S Sambhu Prasad, Principal of the college Marked that National Symposium is a platform to exhibit innate skills for MAKE IN INDIA and extended his wishes for making event successful. Dr. G.Raghuram, Director Academics stated Technical Symposium is to bring awareness in the emerging trends in Electronics and Communication streams. Conveners of EJIVE2K16, Sri.T.Sekhar and Sri.K.Arun veer Asst. Professors in ECE Played a pivotal role in organizing the programme. They informed that about 400 students attended from various colleges out of which 359 entries were registered for events like paper presentation, poster presentation project presentation and technical quiz; various spot events like Touch-me-not, Tech- Riddles, Prodigy Debugger, Wonders of the word and poster presentation by R&D cell, were conducted as a part of strides. 48 The prestigious event STRIDES 2K16 ended up with a valedictory function. All the dignitaries had been invited on the Dias Dr.S.Sambu Prasad, Principal gave out his valuable message appreciating the team work of the students.the students of different colleges who have participated in STRIDES EJIVE 2K16 said that the organizing skills, hospitality, food and the discipline of the event are remarkable. Farewell Day Celebrations: Our III ECE students organized Farewell day on 13 TH MAY 2016, at 12:30PM in our college to giving warm send of their senior.the principal, head of the department and other faculty members were given a very wholehearted welcome. Our college principal Dr.S.Shambu gave his wonderful advice to their future, followed by head of department Mr.G S Siva Kumar. In this program 3 rd year students were ask to share their feelings. Some seniors express their feelings in Happy with warm tears. Some ware very funny and some are giving advices to the juniors. The whole session was very entertaining till the last Performance. Of all the events the video presentation which prepared by the seniors is the centre of attraction.the video included individual pictures of every senior student and some of their group pictures. The video was played for duration of eight minutes. The senior students maintained a dress code for the party.
