1 Hello McDermott s! Wow! What a year! We hosted some amazing trips across the state, country and internationally! From Melbourne musicals, Vivid in Sydney, Kangaroo Island explorations, Outback NSW, Canberra getaway, popping over to Singapore for the flowers and also Japan to discover the cuisine and culture! We certainly travelled far and wide, and plan to go further in the year ahead kicking off with our much anticipated 34-day cruise and tour holiday to Antarctica and South America at the end of January. This will be a holiday of a life-time! The Year Ahead 2019 is full of new, exciting and of course our favourite original tours. We have scheduled fortnightly day tours that take us across the state from Bridestowe to the Wooden Boat Festival and shopping trips in the south at Salamanca and Hobart and some school holiday tours for the grandkids. A new exclusive visit to Tasmania s Parliament House in June will be very special and we only have limited spaces so best to get in early. We are sure there is something for everyone so please book in early to secure your seats. We commence our interstate tours with a very scenic tour to the Melbourne Flower show including the highlights of the ACT in one great packaged tour. Next we spend Easter in Sydney and the delightful Blue Mountains visiting the natural formations of the Three Sisters. We can t go past spending another week in South Australia as we explore the Barossa Valley, the mighty Murray River at the Coorong and the very intriguing Kangaroo Island. We have some fantastic Top End highlight tours for 2019 dry season to choose from including travelling the Darwin to Broome route that takes in Darwin surrounds and the Kimberley region. You could also join us on the must see and do West Australian Coastline including the Pilbara, Ningaloo Reef, Monkey Mia and Perth. If you have ever wanted to see in real life the West Australian wildflowers then we have the tour for you! The itinerary takes you to Perth, Margaret River, Albany, Wave Rock and of course the wildflowers, you can add on as an option the Indian Pacific rail from Perth to Sydney. Late in 2019 we have an action-packed tour with highlights and attractions galore between Adelaide and Launceston visiting the Barossa, Coorong and the Victorian goldfields. Yes, we are going back to Norfolk Island for one of our overseas tours, we love this place, it is so enchanting and the island really does have its own culture and lifestyle. This tour will book out fast so get your seat confirmed ASAP. We still have some seats available for our Antarctica and South America cruise, but it is leaving soon. To round out our year we have partnered with New Zealand Rail tours to produce this absolutely stunning 14-day rail, coach and hotel tour that starts on the North Island and explores extensively the South Island. The Sydney city centre lights up at Easter time and it is a great chance to get festive and do a little shopping in the abundance of malls and shopping centre s dotted around the city, you will likely pick yourself up a great deal as well. Let s also add in the Coorong, the mouth of the mighty Murray river with its abundance of migratory birdlife and water flora. All this before we even make our way over to Kangaroo Island to visit one of the last stands of Ligurian honey bees and some of the best rock art formations on the south coast at Remarkable Rocks. Last but not least the Hanson s Bay wildlife sanctuary and Seal Bay Conservation park will leave you impressed. 9 National park before arriving into the jewel of the north Ningaloo reef and a stay at Exmouth. Once we stop marveling at this hidden region we start moving south on the west coast until we have a well-deserved 2-night stay in Monkey Mia where at Shark Bay we have a chance to visit the dolphins in their own playground. Finish this tour with some great shopping in Perth and the very beautiful and chic Fremantle city. This itinerary is sure to keep the memories flowing for quite some time. Flying into Perth we take a cruise on the Swan River and visit the botanical gardens amongst other attractions. We head south to explore the famous wine region of Margaret River, be careful though, the wine is so nice here you may not want to leave. Moving a little east to the Stirling Ranges, where WA can get snow fall, at times. As we travel from place to place, we get the chance to view the various wildflowers, huge Tingle trees with massive canopies and enjoy a walk along the beaches of the South West coast. ADD on at the end of this tour, from west to east, why fly? In Melbourne we can visit the law maker at Parliament House before taking the time to do some shopping and café hopping in St Kilda.
