2 ITINERARY DAY 1 10 AM AIRPORT PICK UP LAUNCESTON FREYCINET PICK UP, GREAT EASTERN DRIVE, MORNING TEA 3HRS Pick up s at 10am, leaving Launceston. Driving to Freycinet will take approx. 3 hours. Passing over the Tasman bridge, the drive heads towards Tasmania s stunning East Coast. Along the way, guides will bring to life the stories of the region as we pass historic towns and scenic country side. Arriving at Devils corner vineyard we taste some premium Tasmanian wine and view the hazards mountain range over fresh cooked lunch. The great eastern drive continues for another 40 minutes as we start to see up close the mountains of Freycinet. FRIENDLY BEACH WALKS/KAYAKING LUNCH The first short walk is noted as being one Tasmania 60 great short walks. You can stroll as far up the beach as you like before returning in time for afternoon beers or relax by the clear waters and search in rock pools. Friendly Beach is a favorite with locals and you will see why. Pure white sand, beautiful rocks and azure water. Swimming is good on calm days and surfing is popular along this stretch of coast. With a chance to spot Tasmania s endemic birds this set the scene for the coming few days. 2

3 FREYCINET BEACH CAMP As your guides prepare a freshly cooked dinner, you will have the chance to wander un spoilt beaches and take in what Coles Bay has to offer. Dinner will be served as a chose your own plate style. Using local produce, dinner will be healthy, fresh and we guarantee you wont go hungry. Inspired by the coasts freshest seafood goodies. Camped by the beautiful Honeymoon Bay, tents will be set up waiting with comfortable bedding and fresh sheets. DAY 2 FREYCINET BICHENO BAY OF FIRES WINEGLASS BAY BICHENO WATERHOLE HR Huge breakfast to start the day with freshly brewed coffee. Head off on the states premier day hike. The second short walk is to the attractive world renowned wine glass bay, another of Tasmania s 60 great short walks. A gentle stroll up to the look and and done stone steps to the clearest blue water you ll see south of Greece. Wandering back to camp, we head off north to the beach side paradise of Bicheno. Tuck into some fresh seafood lunch and swim in Tassie s favorite fresh water swimming hole. 3

4 AFTERNOON BEER TASTING - BAY OF FIRE BEACHES CAMPING Afternoon beer tasting at one of Tessie s first craft breweries, Iron house. The tasting will teach you about Tasmania s booming craft beer industry. From here we head north to our second camp for the trip, the Bay of Fires. Crystal white waters matched by vibrant orange rocks and pure white sand, Paradise. Settling down at local s favorites, cost corner there will be chance to throw in a line and relax as the sun goes down. Your guide s will prepare you another delicious dinner and tell stories of the rich, complex history that makes up Tasmania. 4

5 DAY 3 BINALONG BAY BLUE DERBY LAUNCESTON LAST SWIM, RAINFOREST DRIVE, BLUE TIER. As we say goodbye to the coast, we have one last swim at the incredible Binalong Bay. The southern extremity of the bay of fires beaches. We grab some brunch in the port town of St.Helens and head inland via the lush blue tier rain forest. Short walk to check out some of Tassie s famous trees and breathe in the cool temperate air of the Blue Tier forest reserve. DERBY, MOUNTAIN BIKING, LAUNCESTON. Mountain biking came to Derby as the saving grace of this pioneering mining town. Now the village bounces with mountain bikers travelling from all over the world to ride Australia s finest trails. We ll be hitting he trails to see why. 3-4 hours of riding with a big lunch at the derby pub to finish. We jump back in the van and head back to civilization to shower and freshen up before prepping for the greatest party of the summer. 5
